My old life in Michigan seemed so foggy, but the memories remained. My best memories were of my best friend, Winter Anderson. We'd been friends since her asshole older brother, Kai, stole my bike when we were eight. They lived not too far from us, so when my older brother came with me to beat his ass, me and her got into a fight. When we told her why we were attacking Kai, she helped us fight him, too. She's been my ride-or-die ever since. We hadn't seen each other in some years. So we planned to throw a slumber party at her house. There would only be one issue: her bum-ass older brother, Kai.
Kai Anderson loves to fuck with me. He's stolen my bikes and my weed, and in high school, he stole my heart until the bitch had the nerve to dump me on my birthday. He didn't even bring a birthday gift on my birthday, to my birthday party on my birthday with no birthday gift. My glass of water got smashed in his face at that party. Tyler, the creator, would've been so proud. Bad Blood was not enough to describe the outrage Kai invoked within me. That was just a minor part of the entire picture. He sends me propaganda on Facebook, and when he gets blocked, he makes a different account and repeats the process. Winter asked him why he does that, and he told her it's so he can still get on my nerves even when he can't be around me. That man stresses me out.
The arrogant person who greeted me at the door almost made me turn around and book a plane ticket back to my college. Kai smiled as we stood face-to-face in the doorway. Kai was the first person to greet me, and I couldn't prevent seeing him on this visit, but did it have to be him? Where the hell was Ma Julie or their dad? Their oldest brother, Rudy, moved out a while ago; why couldn't he have taken this dumbass with him? Winter's phone was on Do Not Disturb, so calling her to come downstairs wouldn't work.
"Well, I'll be damned." Kai snickered. "If it isn't the girl from down the road? We haven't seen you in forever. What was your name again?"
Kai rubbed his chin as he pretended to be lost in thought.
"Oh, yeah! That's right!" he exclaimed. "Stupid bitch!"
"I see I should've smashed that glass against your skull a little harder. Maybe it would've knocked some sense into your head." I joked. "Move out of the way! Winter and I have plans."
"Ha! You think I'm just going to let you in here without any compensation?" he snickered. "Think of me as a bouncer. If you fit the bill, you could get in, but you specifically need to bribe me with something extra."
"Define what you mean by 'something extra,' Kai?" I requested.
"We haven't done it in a long time, and you were so good at it. I almost didn't break up with you." he described. "But fuck bitches. Get money. It's the lifestyle."
"Are you telling me that I have to fuck you to get inside the house?" I questioned.
"Hold on! You've gotten me all wrong, Y/n. I've said no such thing." Kai declared. "I just want head. Pussy can come later."
Winter was ashamed of me when she learned we were dating in high school, and reasons like this were why. He hadn't changed in the slightest. But I couldn't expect anything less from the same guy who made me give him head an hour before he dumped me and told me his dick was my gift. He always thought he was the slyest man on the planet. Kai preached that nothing could get past him, but one of the biggest reasons he dumped me was because the only person who could trick this dumbass was me.
"Kai, you motherfucker- actually, I haven't done that in forever." I sighed. "In years, truthfully. You were the last person I gave a blow job to."
Kai sucked his teeth; as much as he tried to make me believe he wasn't buying it, he loved to have his stupid ego fed.
"I find that hard to believe, but not too hard. I am the greatest man alive." he boasted. "I'm like a drug. You're addicted to what the dick did."
This was the man who took my virginity. What the fuck was wrong with me in high school? It took all the power within me to stop myself from walking away laughing in his face, but Winter and I's girl night wouldn't be postponed due to this doofus.
"Winter doesn't know I'm here because I came for you." I lied. "I haven't been with anyone else. Please, Kai. I need it one more time."
He had the nerve to grab my chin like we were in a movie and looked me in the eyes.
"Who would I be to deny you of your needs? Especially a man of my status," he expressed.
"Of your status?" I questioned. "What status do you mean?"
"Y/n, the reason you can't get over me is because you've fucked a God!" he exclaimed. "Once you've been ordained into the church of Kai, you'll worship me forever."
This fool had lost his damn mind. Something told me to try and convince him to choose a different major instead of Religious Studies. Kai looked behind himself both ways to ensure Winter was around before stepping out of the way and ushering me inside.
"Welcome home, little lamb." Kai welcomed.
The moment he closed the front door behind him and turned to me, my foot met his balls. Kai grunted out in pain as he dropped to the ground, cursing my name as he did. I rushed up the steps to Winter's room without looking back. Knocking was a courtesy, but not when that lunatic was downstairs. Winter practically tackled me when she saw me rushing inside.
"Ahh! Y/n, I was just about to call you!" Winter exclaimed. "You look mortified. Kai didn't give you any trouble when he let you in, did he?"
"You must not know your brother!" I proclaimed.
