A week later, the members were finally back to their dorm. Jin and J-Hope were still in occasional pain, Jungkook was hiding his. Namjoon and Taehyung had casts for their arm, and everyone was covered in different colored bruises. They tried to joke about their injuries, but it hurt Jin to laugh from his recent stitches in his stomach, internally and externally. They would all return to the hospital in two days, where Jin and Jungkook's stitches would be removed and they would start to naturally heal. Jimin and J-Hope's head stitches would be removed the day after Jin and Jungkook's, since they had hit their heads the hardest.
Right now, Jimin and Jungkook were cuddling, Namjoon and Jin were asleep in their rooms, Taehyung and J-Hope were eating quietly, and Yoongi was sitting on the floor of his room.
"Taehyung-ah, how are you feeling?" J-Hope asked from across the table, looking up and eyeing the bruise on the younger's jaw. It was looking much better than two days ago. "Okay, I guess...how are you?" Taehyung looked up and returned the question. "I'm doing alright- I'm worried about Yoongi hyung." J-Hope brought up and took a bite of his kimchi he made. "Me too, he thinks the wreck was his fault when it wasn't." Taehyung sighed quietly. "I also want to know when he last purposefully hurt himself...he seemed to be getting better, before the wreck." He said awkwardly. "Me too..."
After ten minutes of eating and cleaning up, J-Hope decided to check on Yoongi like Taehyung had said. J-Hope went in without knocking, and saw Yoongi sitting on the floor.
"Yoongi hyung, what are you doing?" He chuckled and sat down next to him. "It's all my fault, Hoseokie." Yoongi hid his face in his hands. Hoseok awed internally at the cute name, but he kept a normal expression. "No it's not hyung, we were hit. There was no way you could've known it was going to happen." He told him, sliding a hand around the elder's shoulders. "If I had looked, everybody would be okay." Yoongi's voice was weak, and it was breaking Hoseok's heart. "Everybody could've been okay." J-Hope corrected him, which made Yoongi look up at him.
"If you did see the car coming at us, which was small since you only go straight on the highway, you probably would've swerved. We might've hit someone else and could've totally flipped over more than we did. We would've hurt more people going at sixty miles an hour, it would probably have been worse if you saw the car." He explained. Yoongi understood, he was making sense.
"Yeah, you're right." Yoongi sighed, looking down at his lap. J-Hope just sat there and rubbed his back, admiring how adorable Yoongi was- even if he wasn't very happy. The room was silent, but not awkward. It was relaxing, in fact. Yoongi slowly leaned into J-Hope's touch, eventually resting his head on his shoulder. J-Hope laid his head on Yoongi's, his brown hair smelled of sweet coconut.
"Hey, Hoseokie?" Yoongi asked, breaking the silence. "Hm?" J-Hope looked down at Yoongi, seeing his pretty eyelashes flattering as he blinked. "Remember when you came into my room a while ago, and Kook tried to teach us to play Overwatch?" Yoongi brought up. "He tried to teach you, I had already learned." J-Hope smirked. Yoongi shook his head with a shy smile.
"And yes, I remember." He nodded. "Well...before that- before you dragged me away from my comfort place." Yoongi laughed. J-Hope smirked. "I was going to overdose."
J-Hope's heart dropped into his stomach, he felt like he was going to get sick. "What?" He asked quickly.
"It was one of those days where I didn't have enough mental strength to fight against myself, and I didn't even realize what I was going to do before you came in." Yoongi explained. "I just had a handful of pills in my hand, and I was about to take them. I was going to swallow them all and go back to sleep. But...then you came in and I got scared, so I put the pills back before you could see and I didn't take them." He told him, fiddling nervously with his fingers.
"And I just wanted to tell you, that, you've saved my life more than once and you didn't even know. This is the one time I told you, just because I like being here with you." Yoongi could feel heat rising to his cheeks, and that fact only made him blush a deeper pink. "Why were you wanting to overdose?" J-Hope asked desperately. He wanted Yoongi to feel better. He didn't want to see the pain in his eyes anymore.
He was obviously the only one who could see it.
"There's just...just stuff going on that, I'm not ready to say yet." Yoongi looked down at his lap so hopefully J-Hope couldn't see him blush, even though he could already. It was adorable.
"I understand..." J-Hope wanted to play with Yoongi's hair, but he knew he didn't like it. He could feel their emotional connection tug apart, Yoongi was suffering and he knew it. He had to make an emotional move, but he was fearful he would do something wrong and Yoongi would shelter away from him.
But he did so anyway, it was the only non-awkward thing he could think to do.
Yoongi flinched at first, he wasn't expecting movement on his head. But when he felt the gentle pull of J-Hope's fingers flowing through his brown hair, his nerves went to sleep and his anxiety seemed to fade. J-Hope could feel his body relax, his muscles weren't tense anymore. He could see his eyes close, and he smiled, knowing he was doing something good.
"Hoseokie..." J-Hope was scared he was maybe doing something wrong, but he continued to slowly thread his fingers through his hair. "Yes?" He asked in a softer tone. The mood was much more relaxed now.
"What if I...wasn't the person you thought I was?"
J-Hope was a little confused and taken back. "What do you mean?" He asked, his fingertips sliding against Yoongi's soft hair. His brown locks fell gently in layers, then J-Hope threaded his fingers back through multiple layers without making it uncomfortable.
"What if I was this whole other person? I keep a lot of things away from other people, including the most important parts of me. Would...would you still be my friend if I told you something that changed how you saw me?" Yoongi explained. The atmosphere was the most comfortable he's ever been with someone younger than him, his soul felt at peace and for once, he wasn't filled with anxiety. His leg wasn't bouncing and his fingers weren't snapping quietly like he did in interviews.
"Of course, hyung. I love you for who you are, no matter what. I'll ways see you as my precious Yoongi hyung." J-Hope chuckled lightly, and Yoongi visually cringed. "You're so cheesy, Hoseok." Yoongi shook his head. "Eh, as long as you don't get too weirded out and leave it's fine." He smirked.
"Hey, Hobi?" Yoongi asked again. "What?" J-Hope started to play with his hair rather than just running his hand through it. It was extremely soft, and he was in love.
"What does love mean to you?"
