We weren't given anytime to react as the Dream Team launched forwards, attacking us. Fundy was fighting Sapnap, Wilbur was fighting Dream without much success and me and Tommy were taking on the last of the trio, the shortest one of them, wearing a blue shirt and white rimmed goggles. Tubbo stood there in the middle of the room, clutching his sword tightly. He was facing the only man left, tears streaming down his face. My heart felt a pang of pain for him for he looked so heart-broken.
"Are you gonna fight me Tubbo?" Eret sneered. He knew that he wouldn't.
"Eret, how could you..." His voice was cracked and quiet but everyone heard him. "I farmed with you for hours!" I dodged an attack from Goggles. "You taught me everything that I knew!"
"I'm sorry Tubbo, but L'manburg was never gonna win." He drew his sword. "It was always doomed to end."
He lunged towards Tubbo, but I saw a blur of red and white and the next thing I know, Tommy was standing in front of Tubbo protectively, blocking Eret's attack.
"I mean this in the nicest way possible Eret," Tommy's voice was dangerous, nothing like I had ever heard from him before.
"You fucked up."
He suddenly put a lot more force into his sword and pushed Eret across the room. Eret growled and quickly got back up to his feet, charging towards Tommy and Tubbo.
With Tommy helping Tubbo, I was left battling Goggles by myself. Goggles lunged forwards with his sword but I blocked the attack with mine. I exerted more pressure into the sword, driving him backwards a bit. I took his little stumble to my advantage and I swept my leg underneath his feet and he fell backwards just like Tommy did back in the cabin yesterday. I brought the handle of my sword down on his head and he immediately went limp as the amount of force knocked him out. I saw Tommy fighting Eret but this time with Tubbo blocking his attacks too. The poor boy looked so torn; I could tell that he didn't want to be fighting Eret. Anyone but Eret.
I heard a yell and rushed over to Wilbur who was on the floor, a large cut in his side, staining his jacket in blood. However, I didn't get any time to help him as I felt a pair of arms snaking their way around my body, lifting me up roughly off of the floor and away from Wilbur. The back of my head hit something soft and on my neck I felt the terrifyingly familiar touch of a blade.
"Stop fighting."
His words ran loud and clear throughout the small room. I could feel everyone turning to look at me and Dream, although I could only see Tommy in my eyeline. I had a sudden sense of de ja vu of that night in the woods.
"Please don't hurt her Dream" Wilbur gasped from the pain. Dream only laughed and dug the knife deeper into my skin and I let out a small whimper of pain.
"Hurts like a bitch, doesn't it?" His amused voice ran in my ears.
"Let me go." I growled. Dream shushed me and lightly ran the side of his sword down my lips as a way of telling me to be quiet. His sword made its way down to my neck again, this time pulling my hair back over my shoulders, exposing the side of my neck to him. He twirled the very tip of his sword on my skin, causing a few droplets of blood to squeeze out.
"Get your filthy hands off of her." Tommy growled. He shot Dream with an arrow but it only bounced off of his armor. I could feel Dream tilt his head and then, without warning, he threw the arrow back at Tommy with inhuman strength, the arrow piercing his leg. Tommy let out a yelp of pain and fell to the floor, Tubbo rushing to help him. I shouted "No!" but it was muffled as Dream placed his hand over my mouth. I thrashed around, trying to get his grip to loosen, but it was no use.
"Shhhhh...." Dream hummed into my ear. I didn't stop and continued to move around. Then, Grabbed his hand and bit down onto his palm, hard, causing very little blood to ooze out. He hissed in pain and moved his hand away from my mouth and I breathe out, smiling a little. However, the smile was wiped off of my face as soon as the sword was back on my neck.
"You're going to regret that."
He looked over to Sapnap and signalled to him. Sapnap immediately got the message and in the matter of not even a minute, Fundy was out cold on the floor and Tubbo had an arrow in his side, blood dripping down onto the floor. My eyes widen and I tried to run towards Tubbo but Dream held me back.
"Oh come on now," He said, almost in a bored voice. I gritted my teeth. Was this just a game to him? "Don't make this anymore difficult for them."
"What do you want Dream?" I ask. I look around at my friends, at the state that they were in. There was no way we would win. Although none of us would actually admit it, Eret's betrayal broke us. My eyes met Wilbur's, who was desperately trying to stay conscious.
"Mmm... What do I want?" Dream said playfully. Then he leaned in, his chin almost touching my shoulder, the cold material of his mask touching the side of my neck. He whispered into my ear.
"I want you to come with me."
I turned to look at him, forgetting that there was a sword pressed to my neck, causing the sword to gently graze my skin.
"I'm not going anywhere with you."
"Oh I think you are." At Dream's words, Sapnap shot Tommy with another arrow, which buried itself in his shoulder. His scream pierced my ears and I immediately stopped moving. I watched in horror as blood stained his iconic red and white shirt. I saw Sapnap pointing his crossbow at Tubbo.
"No!" I shout. Sapnap drew back an arrow. "Stop!"
"There is only one way to stop it." I felt Dream's hot breath spilling down my neck. I looked at Tubbo, his eyes full of terror. I gritted my teeth.
"I'll go with you." I whispered.
"What was that Y/n?" Dream mused. I knew he heard me the first time.
"I'll go with you." I said again, this time louder. "Just stop hurting them." To the left of the room, Goggles began to stir and regained his consciousness. He blinked a couple of times, the confusion clear on his face but then he smirked, acknowledging the situation as it was clear to anyone that we were losing. He staggered over to us. In the corner of my eye, I saw Sapnap lower the crossbow and on my neck I felt the sword being removed. I breathe out a sigh of relief and my eyes locked with Wilbur's sad ones once again. I gave him a sad smile, which he returned. I turn to look at Tommy and Tubbo, who both, unlike Wilbur, had a fierce look of determination in their eyes as if to say "We'll get you out of there." I nod at them. Although not a word was spoken during this interaction, we all knew that this was a way of saying goodbye. At least for now. Tommy and Tubbo's faces were the last thing I saw as I felt a blunt force of pain on the back of my head and the world went black as my body went limp.
