When I woke up the following morning, it took my brain a few moments to realize where I was. My eyes took a few seconds to adjust to the bright sunlight shining through the window since I didn't close the curtains last night. Out of the window, I could see green hills, dotted with a few flowers here and there and a small river running through a valley. This would've been a nice place to live if it weren't for the reason that came barging through the door right at that moment.

"Oh, you're awake." Dream stood in the doorway, leaning on the frame. He wasn't wearing his usual dark green jacket, instead, a black sweater with black jeans. It gave him a more younger, casual, carefree look, one that I wasn't used to, but, if I had to be honest, he did look good.

"What do you want?" I groaned, lying back down and burying my face in the covers. I hear him sigh and I smile as I sensed his frustration.

"I'm just checking up on my prisoner, making sure you're not escaping or doing some stupid shit."

I peeked out from the covers. "What stupid shit would I be doing? I can't really do anything in this room, except sleep, shower, sit there and look pretty."

"Yeah you look very pretty in George's old, washed out sweater." He rolled his eyes. "Where did you get it from?"

"Sapnap gave them to me." I answered simply. I sat back up. "Last night."

"George isn't gonna be very happy when he sees you wearing that. He hates sharing clothes."

"Well, boohoo, he can go and cry about it." Dream chuckled lightly at my response. He turned to leave.

"Wait, so you're just gonna leave me in here?"

"What else am I supposed to do, we went over the rules, remember? You will stay in this room at all times unless I say otherwise."

"Well, then say otherwise. Or I'm just gonna die of boredom."

"Go ahead. I'll tell Wilbur what your last words were."

"Or you could just let me go outside?"

"Now, why would I do that? So you can just escape?"

"I won't escape. I just want to go outside."

Dream laughs. "I know that you're a bitch but that doesn't mean I need to walk you everyday."

I glared at him. "Ok, just get out now."

An hour or so later, George came up to my room with breakfast. He glared at me as he handed me the tray with an apple, bread and melons on. He kept on looking at me as I ate.

"What?" I said, my mouth full of watermelon. I hadn't realized how hungry I was.

"You're wearing my clothes." He pointed to the sweater I was wearing, which was almost identical to the one he was wearing, except mine was a little paler from the amount of times it had been washed. It reminded me of Fundy's crayon suit back in L'manburg.

"Well, thank you for letting me borrow them." I smile at him sarcastically.

"I didn't let you borrow it."

"What are you gonna do, take it off of me? Be warned George, I'm not wearing anything under this." I almost choked on my mouthful as I laughed at George's face turning red.

"Chill George, it's a joke. You can have it back as soon as my own ones are clean and dry." I finished off the last of my food and handed the tray back to him. He stood there, still giving me the death stare. If looks could kill, I'd probably have my face slowly cut off and have lemon juice poured into the wound while I screamed and died from that single look.

"You're real charming. No wonder why you and Tommy are best friends." He said sarcastically.

"You're so moody, I can tell why you and Dream are buddies."

"You're lucky that I'm not Dream otherwise I would've ripped your head off by now."

"You can try. But the last time you tried to take me on, I knocked you out, remember?"

George scoffed and then left the room, leaving me to myself.

Two days went by without much going on. By now, I noticed the regular patterns of the boys' visits. Dream would come and see me in the mornings, George would bring me breakfast and quickly leave and Sapnap would come and visit me twice a day, bringing me lunch and dinner. I was secretly happy about this arrangement seeing as Sapnap was definitely my favourite out of the three. We would occasionally joke around and laugh at each other's jokes but I still wouldn't consider him as a friend and I'm pretty sure he felt the same. George's visits were short and cold, but I didn't mind. Dream, on the other hand, would find every possible moment to torment me, constantly reminding me of how L'manburg was at his mercy and one command away from turning into a bloodbath.

This morning, Dream didn't come and visit me but honestly, I wasn't complaining, it's just that it's nice to have some human company, even if it was just constant arguing. Over the last few days, no one except the trio had come to see me, so imagine my surprise when a brunet, taller than George came in, carrying a food tray. I had to physically stop myself from rolling my eyes as he walked in. We were friends but I had never been as close to Eret as I had been with everyone else. We had our laughs and playful moments at times and I had always had a lot of respect for him but it was all gone now. I hated him and he knew it. But what he didn't know was that I didn't hate him for betraying L'manburg, well, actually I did, but not as much as I hated him for hurting Tubbo. I knew how Tubbo looked up to him and admired him.

"Listen, I know we're not on the best of terms right now-" He began

"No, we're not." I said bluntly.

"I know that I fucked up and-" I cut him off again.

"Eret, I'm only gonna say this once." I said to him. "I'm not gonna be accepting whatever shitty apology that you come up with. You were so quick to betray your country that you helped to create the moment you realized that we didn't have the upper hand in the war. You didn't even try to save it. So don't you even try and save our friendship."

"Y/n, we were losing! We were all gonna die! I had to side with Dream, otherwise he would've killed all of us!"

"We're in a war for god's sake! Of course he's gonna kill us! If you really cared that much for our lives then why did you try and kill Tubbo in the final control room?"

A pained expression flashed across his face at the mention of Tubbo, but it was gone as quickly as it came. "I didn't try and kill him. I was just gonna hurt him, that's all."

I scoffed. "Yeah, you hurt him all right."

"Trust me, I regret that."

"I did trust you Eret. I trusted you like everyone else in L'manburg. And now, like everyone else, I hate you. And you know that."

Eret scowled at me. "You know, the only reason that you are still alive right now is because of me. Without me, Dream would have killed you all without a moment of hesitation and taken L'manburg back."

"You really believe that? You really think that you influence Dream's decisions? Dream does what he does for himself. For enjoyment and entertainment. To him, this is just a big game and you are nothing but a pawn" I shrugged. "We all are."

Eret didn't say anything but I knew that he knew everything I said was true. He sighed.

"Just know, Y/n, I really am sorry. I'm just hoping we could someday be friends again."

"If you really believe that then you are wishing on a dying star."
