I was sat in my room that I shared with Niki, separated from the rest of them. Quackity and Tubbo were here too and they hadn't said a word to me since they got here.

There was a knock on the door and I groaned.

"I'm asleep!" I shouted through the wall. The door opened, and Karl walked in.

"No, you're not." He said, sitting down opposite me on Niki's bed. "However, you are miserable. What's up?"

I looked at him glumly. "You don't think I'm the traitor?"

Karl shook his head, smiling at me. "I know you're not the traitor."

"I'm glad someone thinks that." I said, hugging my knees. "Tubbo and Quackity doesn't seem to think the same, do they? Otherwise they wouldn't be avoiding me."

"It seems to me that you're the one avoiding them." Karl said. I looked at him.

"That's because they don't want to see me. Tommy won't even look at me."

We sat in silence for a while. Karl was the one that broke it. "So, what are you going to do now?"

"I'm going to stay in bed and I'm going to stay here forever until I wither away." I said, flatly. Karl sighed as I pulled the thin blanket over my head.

"That's what you say every time something goes wrong. You never change, do you?" Karl said, shaking his head. "You can't just hide from your problems, you know that right?"

"On the contrary, Karl." My voice was muffled under the blanket. "Hiding from my problems is a lot less energy consuming than facing them."

"You'll get bored hiding under there. You always do."

I peeked out from under the blanket and looked at him. "No, I won't."

I turned around to face the wall and neither of us said anything for around 10 minutes. I thought he had left, until I heard his voice.

"Are you bored yet?"

"Yes."

He sighed as I sat up, looking at him glumly.

"So, what are you going to do?" He asked again. "You know where your loyalties lie. How are you going to prove your loyalty to the others?"

I bit my lip in thought. I was fully aware that Karl was still looking at me.

"Karl, I need to talk to Dream." I said. I stood up suddenly. "Tell him to meet me in the woods."

Karl frowned. "Where in the woods? The woods is a very vague location."

"He'll know where."

Karl just nodded uncertainly and then left, no doubt to deliver my message to Dream. I knew that Niki was on lookout duty again and I put my shoes on and then left the room. I climbed the stairs out of the ravine and into the cave, where I bumped into Niki. She looked at me, alarmed.

"Sorry." I muttered as I walked past her.

"Where are you going?" She asked, eyebrow raised.

"Out." Was all I said and then I left. When I looked back, she had disappeared and satisfaction grew inside me, knowing that she had done the thing I was counting for her to do.

I had known, that deep down, this conversation was coming up. It was inevitable. But, as I walked into the clearing in the woods and waited for Dream to arrive, there was only one thought that was clear in my head : I knew where my loyalties lied.

I looked up as I heard footsteps coming towards me. His footsteps.
