A few weeks had passed, and now Halloween was just around the corner. Ivy had finally found a balance between school and her new social life. After school each day, she would either tag along with Miguel to Cobra Kai, have nerd days with him, Eli and Dimitri or hang around with Robby, her new boyfriend. It was stressful to juggle at first, being that she promised her grandma good grades, but eventually she found a way to get all her work done at school, so she was free the rest of the day.
Miguel was taking his training a lot more seriously since he was shut down by Kyler the first day of school. When he wasn't in the zone on his own, he was constantly pestering Ivy to join Cobra Kai and train with him. She always declined, having no interest in learning karate and already having too much on her plate. Still, Miguel was determined, both to win over Sam and to never be humiliated by someone like Kyler again. She had to admit, he was definitely getting stronger.
To her surprise, she had actually gotten quite close to Eli and Dimitri. Eli was easy. When he finally got comfortable around her, she found out that they actually had a lot in common. He opened up more little by little, but he was still pretty quiet. Unless he was really excited about something, he seemed to be too afraid to speak. Ivy wished she could do something to make him more confident, but she knew that was something he had to do on his own.
Dimitri, on the other hand, was more than difficult. He was blunt, brash and over the top whiney. Eventually, Ivy realized he was using these traits as a shield, as he was no more confident than Eli, just a lot louder. When she was able to understand why he was the way he was, it was a lot easier to get along with him. When Dimitri realized he hadn't scared her off with his nonsense, he toned it down and started to let her in.
Robby had swooned her just by breathing. Since they got right into the deep shit, their bond had only grown. He spent a lot of time showing her around, treating her to meals and telling her stories about his life. She learned that his mom was really no better than his dad. She was an alcoholic and a pill popper who was more interested in snagging a date than spending time with her son. Robby had felt completely abandoned because of this, she could see it in his eyes when he talked. So, to try and help with this, Ivy always gave him her undivided attention and affection when they were together. Moments between them were almost always bliss, and she was definitely starting to fall for him.
On this particular night, they were at his house making out on his couch. They couldn't seem to get enough of each other. Ivy was on top, grinding up against him as they kissed. Robby let his hands wander down her back, butt and legs, keeping her close. Eventually, they had to come up for air, and they smirked at each other through the heat.
"I'm not done." Robby clicked his teeth.
"Any farther and I'll be pregnant by morning." She teased.
"I have protection." He murmured and reached up to kiss her neck.
"Not yet, okay?" she breathed, leaning down to kiss him again.
He let it go, and they went back to making out. Ivy trusted him even more now, knowing he wasn't going to pressure her into going further. Robby was hot as hell, and he was fun to kiss, but she wasn't ready for anything but that.
Suddenly, the front door flew open and banged loudly against the wall. Giggles and kissing noises followed, and Robby quickly turned so that now he was on top of Ivy before he forced them both to hunker down on the couch. They waited quietly as heels clacked on the floor, followed by more giggles and stuff falling off of the counter.
"Be quiet!" a woman whisper hissed, "My son is sleeping!"
Robby sighed as he recognized his mom's voice. He buried his face in Ivy's neck as they waited again. They heard more footsteps and soon the bedroom door closed, but the giggling never stopped. Ivy felt sick to her stomach. His mom was so annoying, and she felt bad for Robby.
