The All-Valley Karate Tournament:

After an illegal kick to the knee by Cobra Kai's Bobby Brown, it seems Daniel LaRusso is too injured to advance. Bobby is disqualified from the tournament and Johnny Lawrence-star of Cobra Kai- looks to be awarded the championship by default. However, just as he is about to accept his trophy, Daniel returns to finish what he started, and the tournament finals begin.

The two bow to each other, as custom, and Johnny immediately goes on the offence with some well-timed kicks. Daniel successfully avoids them, but his knee limits his movement. With a sudden, sharp punch to Johnny's gut, Daniel takes the first point of the match. Johnny pushes him in frustration, and they separate to assume their fighting stances again.

Johnny goes on the offence again, throwing punches before he knocks Daniel to the ground. Daniel quickly recovers with a stumble and resumes his fighting position. After some fancy footwork, Daniel manages to tangle his legs with Johnny's and knocks him down. He swings his arm, and with a chop to the back, Daniel claims his second point.

Bleeding from the nose, the referee sends Johnny to Sensei Kreese to be examined. Kreese looks over his nose in disgust. He tells Johnny to sweep the leg. When Johnny gives him a reluctant look because Daniel's leg is injured, Kreese reminds him that Cobra Kai shows no mercy. Johnny steps back out onto the mat.

Daniel limps into his fighting stance to face Johnny. Johnny takes no time in attacking, kicking out Daniel's injured leg from under him. Daniel falls to the mat with a howl of pain as the crowd erupts with boos of disapproval. Johnny stands tall, and the referee separates them to look over Daniel. When Daniel gets back up to fight, Johnny is awarded his first point of the match. They face each other to begin again.

Again, Johnny strikes first, as Cobra Kai's do, and Daniel tumbles to the mat only to quickly recover. They exchange a few punches and again Daniel drops to the mat. Johnny attempts to strike for another point, but Daniel rolls to get out of the way. Johnny chases him and manages to hit him anyway, and he is awarded his second point. They reset.

Tied at two points each, the tension rises. This time Daniel rushes forward to strike, but Johnny is faster and attacks back. Daniel retreats as Johnny advances, and Daniel goes out of bounds. The referee calls them back and they exchange more blows. Though they tumble and punch, neither has yet to win the third point. Eventually, Johnny lands a sharp punch to Daniel's face and they are separated. Johnny is warned to back up for a moment, and they reset again. Without hesitation, Johnny grabs Daniel's leg after he kicks at him and strikes his injured knee with his elbow, sending Daniel crumbling to the mat. The boos from the crowd get louder. Daniel is checked by the referee, and when he's cleared, Johnny is warned about illegal contact. They reset for the last time.

Daniel enters the round in a crane kick stance. Johnny rushes forward, but before he can land a hit, Daniel strikes him in the face with his foot and takes him out. Daniel is awarded the third and final point and is declared the winner.

The crowd cheers as Daniel is crowned the new champion. Shocked, but humbled for that moment, Johnny gives Daniel the trophy himself in a show of sportsmanship, much to Kreese's displeasure. Daniel is carted off by his fans to celebrate, and Johnny slinks back into the shadows of Cobra Kai.

And so, the greatest rivalry the 80's had ever seen was born...
