Ivy stumbled out of her truck in front of her apartment, still a little dizzy from getting clocked in the face. She hadn't cleaned the blood off yet, figuring she'd just take an Advil and then hop in the shower, but that was a big mistake. A shadow loomed across the lot from her, and it was not happy.

"Where the hell have you been?" Johnny bellowed from behind her, "Miguel texted me that you weren't at school."

"Around." She groaned tiredly, not wanting to deal with this now, but Johnny's eye's widened at the sight of her.

"That's not gonna fly this time, Ivy!" Johnny shouted, stomping over to her, "You're covered in blood!"

"To be fair, only a little is mine." She shrugged.

"And who's the rest of it from?" Johnny shouted again, rattling her ear drums.

"Just never mind, alright?" she shouted back, her head throbbing from the noise.

Johnny shook his head harshly, already fed up with her attitude and lack of explanation. He reached behind her to throw open her apartment door, shoving her inside before he followed and slammed the door behind him. Curiously, he looked over her apartment, and Ivy realized that this was the first time he had been inside. The thought embarrassed her, as she hadn't really been keeping it clean lately, but that was the least of her worries now. Johnny looked around thoughtfully, and she wasn't sure if she wanted to know what he thought of the place. He looked back down at her quickly, his anger returning.

"Where did you go, and what did you do?" he narrowed his eyes at her, trapping her in his gaze.

"I went to Cobra Kai, and I challenged Robby to a blood match to avenge Eli." She sighed, knowing she had no choice but to tell him now.

"You what?" Johnny's face tensed, flushing red with rage.

So she explained, starting from Eli's haircut the night before and how much it had crushed him. She told him how broken Eli was, and how she wanted nothing but revenge for him, and that since he wasn't going to do it, she had to. She told him about how she stormed Cobra Kai and about the deal she made with Silver. She told him how Kreese had given Robby a Sai to scare her, but that it didn't work because he didn't want to hurt her like Kreese did. Then she told him about the final blow to her face and how she tapped out, ending the story with Silver's offer and her refusal to join him, Johnny's eyes getting sadder and sadder the longer she went on.

"I lost. I'm out of the tournament." She finished in a mumble.

"No the hell you're not!" Johnny was furious again, "Nothing Silver says is binding!"

"Yes I am." She growled up at him, "I don't care what his word is worth, mine actually means something. I made a bet and I lost, the end."

"So you're just going to give up?" Johnny groaned, frustrated.

"I don't want to fight anymore, Johnny! I'm tired of it!" she nearly cried, "If I don't take a step back now, I'll be fighting for the rest of my god damn life, and what good would that do? Miguel was nearly paralyzed permanently, Sam was cut up, Dimitri had his arm broken, and now Eli got scalped! Who's gonna be next? Meanwhile, Cobra Kai has gone unscathed. They're never gonna stop because they keep finding ways to get us. I can't keep doing this!"

"But that's why this tournament is so important." Johnny lowered his voice, surprised by her anger, "It's our one chance to run them out of town."

"You really think that if Kreese loses he's gonna tuck tail like he said?" she scoffed, exasperated, "He's not going to go away, especially now that he's got Silver on his side. That guy is dangerous, even more so because he's rich, and I bet Kreese knows that. Why else would he have brought him on?"
