After school the next day, Ivy sat in her truck to spend some time talking to Miguel on the phone. Since she wasn't able to visit him before his surgery, she wanted to make sure that he knew how much she loved him, and that he was going to come out okay. Eventually, he had to go get prepped for surgery, and Ivy wished him well before hanging up the phone with a silent prayer that the operation would be a success. Miguel was the strongest out of all of them. If anyone could pull off a miracle, it was him.

Ivy then made her way to the Juvenile Detention Center to visit Robby. Mixed emotions danced through her chest as she drove. On one hand, she really did want to check in on him. He was her first love, and a tiny part of her would always care for him. On the other hand, she really wanted to beat him into a bloody pulp for what he did to Miguel. Sadly, it wouldn't fix anything, and she had already brawled enough that week.

At the front desk, Ivy checked in and filled out some paperwork so that she could see Robby. When she was cleared, she looked through the other visitors for someone who was shorter, old and bald. Johnny's description of Bobby was pretty vague, but surprisingly effective. A man fitting that description was sitting at one of the tables dressed in a suit. He looked enough like a priest in Ivy's mind, so she moved to sit with him.

"Mr. Brown?" she asked as she sat.

"Yes?" he looked to her, confused.

"Hi. My name is Ivy Taylor, I'm one of Johnny's students. He asked me to accompany him today." She introduced herself.

"Oh, you're next generation, huh? In that case, you can call me Bobby." He gave her a smile.

"I wouldn't say that...but thank you." Ivy nodded, "Before Robby comes out, I just want to tell you that he's my ex, so I don't know how he's going to react."

"You're one of Johnny's students and you dated his son?" Bobby's eyes widened, "How did you manage that?"

"With all due respect, sir, it's a long story that I'm getting tired of telling."

"That's fair. Well, I'll do my best to keep the peace." Bobby shifted in his seat to get more comfortable.

"You know, I don't know how to describe it, but you really do sound like a priest." Ivy looked to him.

"Oh for crying out loud, I'm a Pastor, not a priest." Bobby rolled his eyes with amusement, "I'm assuming Johnny told you that I was a priest? He really can't understand the difference, can he?"

"Considering he has a hard time grasping a lot of new concepts, like his smart phone, I guess not." Ivy let out a laugh, "And although it's comical sometimes, I can see how his thick skull could be frustrating."

"That's Johnny for ya though. What can you do?" Bobby let out a laugh of his own.

As she watched him laugh, Ivy decided that she liked Bobby. He seemed like a genuine guy, and she could see why he and Johnny were friends. Bobby was the reason to Johnny's pigheadedness, while Johnny was Bobby's strength to act when logic wasn't needed. Her smile grew at the thought.

Suddenly, a buzzer went off, and Ivy shifted to see Robby coming out. Her jaw nearly dropped at his appearance. He wore a gray sweatsuit with a white tee shirt, his skin pale against the drab colors. His beautiful long brown hair was now cut short, just barely long enough to slick back, and his green eyes held a dullness that told Ivy he was close to giving up. When he sat down at the table with them and noticed Ivy, his eyes lit up ever so slightly.

"Ivy?"

"You cut your hair..." was all she could think to say.

"What, does it look bad?" he asked.
