On Saturday morning, Ivy was laying in her bed scrolling through the Cobra Kai website on her phone. When it came to most things that had happened and that were going on, she had felt at peace. But there was one lingering regret that held her back from fully being free: her final revenge on Tory. Sure, she had messed with her with petty annoyances and even punched her in the back of the head, but it hadn't been enough. When Tory stood next to Kreese in the park, Ivy could see in her eyes that she fully intended to have a rematch of the school fight, if not something much worse, and that she would have no remorse doing it. Until Ivy could teach her the lesson she should have right in the beginning, she wouldn't be able to truly be at peace. Thankfully, she knew just what to do.
Rolling out of bed, she changed into another pair of yoga pants and a tank top. She went into the bathroom to do her hair, pulling it into a tight bun to keep it out of her face. She then grabbed her purse and keys to head out to the truck. Johnny had spotted her right away and immediately intercepted her before she could even get to her truck, and for that, she glared at him.
"And where are you going?" he asked.
"Jesus christ, Johnny, would you just get off my back?" she groaned.
"Not a chance." Johnny shook his head, "I don't need your grandpa kicking my ass. I don't care how old he is, I know he can do it."
"Of course he could, he was in the army. And you know what they say, you can take the soldier out of the fight, but you can't take the fight out of the soldier." She shrugged.
"Don't I know it." Johnny mumbled, "Anyway, I thought you'd like to know that I've decided to go talk to the committee about the All-Valley today."
"About time." Ivy nodded.
"I need you to come with so that you can help me keep my anger in check, seeing as this is pretty important." He continued.
"Why not Miguel?" she asked, "He was the one who was passionate about this."
"Because the kid won't even look at me. So by default, you're going." Johnny said sternly.
"Fine." Ivy relented with a huff, "What time?"
"Two-o-clock exactly." Johnny shifted his weight, "Be here at one-thirty so we can get there on time."
"Roger, roger." Ivy nodded and moved to open her truck door, but Johnny put a hand on her arm to stop her.
"Seriously, where are you going?" he narrowed his eyes.
"To do what I feel is right, guilt free." She gave him a look and he sighed.
"Alright, just don't kill anyone." Johnny backed away to let her by.
"Can't make someone suffer if they're dead!" Ivy grinned and hopped up into her truck.
The look on Johnny's face was priceless. He was equal parts shocked, intrigued and impressed, and she gave him a silly smile as she backed out and drove out of the lot.
In front of the Cobra Kai Dojo, Ivy couldn't bring herself to get out of her truck. Her eyes stayed fixed on the black and yellow snake, her heart aching over what it used to represent. She had made lasting friendships here, grew as a person here, and even found true love here, but Kreese had laid it all to ruins. Her stomach twisted in sickness as she recalled that night. She hadn't been back here since Kreese took over, but she had to go inside. It was the only way she would ever be able to quiet some of the anger in her heart.
