Eli came back after supper, and they sprawled out on the couch so Ivy could tell him all about her idea. Despite her descriptions and reassurance that Eli would be going as a badass character, he still wasn't convinced. So, Ivy rented the movie, and they stayed up to watch it before falling asleep on each other on the couch.

By morning, Eli was convinced, and they headed off to a local thrift store to see if they could find pieces for their costumes.

"Do you have nice jeans and a white shirt?" Ivy asked as she scanned through racks of men's clothes.

"Yeah, I think so." Eli nodded, following her.

"Then we just need some Aviators, a nice bomber jacket, and some cowboy boots." She said as she moved to another rack.

"Do we really need the cowboy boots?" Eli groaned, "I'm going to be wearing skates."

"True, but it's going to look stupid when you're not wearing skates if you don't...ah, here!" Ivy smiled as she pulled out a brownish-green bomber jacket, "It even has some flight patches on it! Lucky you."

"Yes, lucky me." Eli grinned and took the jacket from her.

"Go try it on and then look for the boots and sunglasses." She shooed him away, "I gotta find my own clothes."

"Yes, dear." He teased her and walked away to find the changing rooms.

Ivy's outfit was along the same lines as his, but her character wore tennis shoes instead, so she only needed to find her own bomber jacket. Eventually, she found a nice black one. She slung it over her shoulder, grabbed her own pair of Aviators for fun, and met Eli by the check out.

"Does everything fit?" she asked as she laid her stuff on the counter.

"Yep. And don't worry, I got the damn boots." He smirked.

"Perfect!" she grinned, "We're going to look so good."

"At least you will, for sure." He snaked a hand around her waist to tickle her side.

"Oh, shush." She giggled, "Just be a good boy and dress up with me on Friday. Then after that if you still hate the idea, I'll make you fall in love with it with roleplay."

"Oh, deal!" he grabbed her hip and squeezed, and she flinched at the heat of his touch, "I'm going to make sure to have a horrible time now."

"Just shut up." She rolled her eyes with a laugh.

They paid for their things and headed out to her truck before throwing the bags in the back and getting in. Ivy had promised him lunch if he behaved in the store, so she drove off to keep her word and spend the rest of the afternoon with him.

Soon, it was Friday night, and Eli and Ivy were in her bedroom getting ready. They had already done their hair and make-up and were now changing into the clothes they bought at the thrift store. Ivy had made a mistake, as it turned out she didn't have a white tee shirt, so instead she wore a white tank under her bomber jacket. This put her tattoo in full view, and she was a little scared to show it off. Sure, everyone knew her and Eli were a thing, but the tattoo made the declaration a lot more serious. At least she thought so.

When they were done primping and preening, they met Miguel out by the truck. Johnny came out as well, looking sharp in some fancy clothes. He came to look over the teens, curious about what they were wearing.
