Ivy and Miguel walked into the gym through a cloud of smoke. He was a skeleton, she was a vampire bat. The Halloween dance was already in full swing. They spotted Dimitri and Eli in the back. Dimitri was a Necromancer, his amulet said so. Eli was a plastic surgeon-he fixed lips. The boys were thirsty, they went to get punch. There were some girls nearby. Miguel was confident, he wanted to ask them to dance, but the other boys were too scared and lost one of the nameless girls to Dr. Who. Ivy was annoyed, she wanted to dance too. She grabbed Eli and dragged him out onto the dance floor.

Eli was shy, but Ivy wrapped her arms around him anyway. She moved his hands to her waist and showed him how to slow dance. She told him he didn't have to worry, it was just the two of them. He pulled her closer, and she ran her fingers through his hair.

"You don't have to pity me, Ivy." Eli mumbled.

"I don't pity you, I love you." Ivy smiled and removed the surgeon's mask to reveal his gorgeous smile, "You're perfect to me, every part of you, inside and out."

"Are you sure you love every part?" a dark voice echoed through the gym.

The lights went out around them. A spotlight shined on just the two of them, everyone else was gone. Ivy was scared, she looked to Eli. His eyes were glazed over-a milky white with no pupils. Ivy gasped. A deep chuckle boomed around them.

A figure appeared behind Eli and stepped into the light. It was Kreese, he was smirking. Ivy took a step back, but Eli didn't move. Kreese laughed again. Ivy watched as he snaked his hands around Eli's head, and in one swift motion, he snapped his neck. There was a crack, Ivy screamed, and Eli's body dropped to the floor.

"Eli!" Ivy's shout echoed into the darkness as she dropped to the floor next to him.

But Eli wasn't dead, just different. His pupils returned, but the blue was tainted. His hair was bright red, styled into a mohawk. His surgeon costume was gone, replaced by a black and yellow Cobra Kai Gi.

"Eli?" Ivy whispered, touching his arm.

"Who's Eli?" he looked to her, his eyes going dark.

He stood, and she stood with him. There was a loud screech, and a beautiful hawk flew down and perched on Eli's shoulder. Ivy was taken aback, his presence and power overwhelming.

"You...you're Eli." She sputtered.

"You're mistaken, gorgeous." He flashed her a malicious smirk, "My name is Hawk."

Kreese appeared next to him and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Eli is gone, I will never let you have him back. The vessel that remains belongs to me."

Kreese sneered, and his body began to contort and change. His limbs fused to his body, which stretched and changed form and color until there was a gigantic black and yellow cobra before her. It hissed, bore its fangs and stretched its mouth wide open before it lunged right at her.

Ivy awoke with a scream.

It took her longer than she cared to admit to realize that she was alone and safe in her bedroom. She took deep breaths, peeling away the hair that had been plastered to her face with sweat. The nightmare had been so real. She could feel everything, see everything, remember everything, and it was so cruel. Eli looked like a God as Hawk, his magnificence radiating from him like a golden light. Kreese was demonic, his darkness surrounding him like black smoke. And the creature he turned into was absolutely terrifying. Ivy knew it was just her subconscious symbolizing her fears, but it still scared her. Her fists clenched tightly over her blanket. She wouldn't let the dream come true. She would free Eli from Kreese's clutches.
