A couple of weeks had passed, and the fourth of July weekend was approaching. Apparently, the Valley held this big celebration called Valley Fest that Ivy had just recently heard about. Last year she had spent the fourth with her grandparents and they watched the fireworks on T.V. since they were too old to walk down to the beach. This year, however, the cobras insisted she join them for Valley Fest, as it was kind of a big deal around here.

A few days after Miguel had confronted Johnny about Robby, Johnny had taken him out to eat, and then Miguel came to Ivy's apartment to tell her what they talked about. Apparently, he and Johnny had had a real deep heart to heart, as Johnny revealed that his biggest regret was not being the father that Robby deserved, and he and Miguel had come to an understanding.

Ivy could understand Johnny's position, but she was starting to care less and less about Robby. As time went on, she realized that currently he was no more than a pretty face, and that she didn't want to wrap herself up in his problems just so she had something nice to look at. Sometimes she would miss him, as it was hard to adjust to always having something to not having it at all, but then she would remember the jab he made at her dead dad, and that pretty much sealed the deal that she never wanted to be with him again.

A little while after Miguel's talk with Johnny, Aisha had texted him some important news. She had heard from Sam that Daniel was planning a karate demonstration for Miyagi-Do at Valley Fest to try and bring in more students. This didn't sit well with Johnny, as he saw it as Daniel snubbing him, so he arranged a special session so that Cobra Kai could prepare their own demonstration for Valley Fest.

Ivy sat on the mats with Miguel and Eli to stretch and gossip as they waited for Johnny to arrive. When he did, there was a huge grin on his face, and he made everyone stand up as he and Mr. Kreese took their places in the front.

"Alright guys, I have a lot of ideas for this demonstration that's going to make it badass." Johnny started excitedly, "Now, everyone is going to participate and show off some karate, but there are a few of you that I want to showcase. Miss Robinson!"

"Yes, Sensei?" she answered and stepped forward.

"I want you to do a board breaking demonstration while blind folded. Don't worry, I have a little trick to show you in a minute." Johnny smiled and turned, "Diaz!"

"Yes, Sensei?" Miguel looked to him.

"As the champion, I want you to come up with a routine that shows off your best moves. Recruit whoever you need to get that done." He ordered.

"Got it." Miguel nodded.

"Then Hawk and...Miss Taylor! You two have great chemistry!" Johnny paused once he saw that the two teens were giving him odd, uncomfortable looks, "I meant in karate. You two are great at anticipating each other's moves, so I want you to use that to your advantage and come up with a partner routine."

"Yes, Sensei." Eli and Ivy bowed together.

"Great, now split up and get to work!" Johnny commanded, "Put everything you've got into it so that no one will think about Miyagi-Do ever again!"

"YES, SENSEI!" the students roared before they split up into groups.

They spent the remainder of the class and the rest of the week practicing for their demonstration. Eli and Ivy decided to do a board trick that put the spotlight on Eli and recruited Chris to help them, as Ivy didn't want to be the center of attention, and by the last practice they had perfected it. Then they spent that whole night putting all of their sections together to make a flawless, badass demonstration. They were ready, and Miyagi-Do was going to be sorry.
