They woke up early the next morning and got ready for school. They had planned to tell Miguel about Robby like Johnny had asked, but he never left his house, so they didn't get the chance. Plan B was to tell him before they left for school, but he was already gone, so they left, hoping that they could catch him before school started.
They spotted Miguel leaning up against a pillar in front, and they moved to him, wanting to tell him the news from Johnny already. Aisha joined them at about the same time, throwing their plan C all to hell.
"Still nothing from Tory?" she asked before Eli or Ivy could speak.
"No, what about you?" Miguel straightened up.
"She won't text me back." Aisha shrugged, "I'm getting kind of worried."
"I couldn't find her after the party." Miguel shook his head, "You think she got in trouble with the cops?"
"I don't know." Aisha sighed, "But missing the first day of school is not a good sign."
"This is Tory we're talking about." Ivy put a hand on Miguel's shoulder, "I'm sure she's fine."
"I hope so." Miguel looked to her glumly.
"Hey, man, we need to talk quick." Eli tried to get his attention, giving plan C another go.
"It's going to have to wait." Aisha stopped him, "The bell for class is going to ring soon."
"Fine, lunch then." Ivy looked to Miguel sternly, "It's important."
"I'll be there." Miguel nodded to her before walking away with Aisha.
Eli turned to Ivy and pulled her in for a quick kiss, keeping his hands on her waist as he pulled away.
"See you at lunch, gorgeous." He smirked.
"Later, handsome." She pecked another kiss on his lips, "Remember what Sensei said, behave."
"I'll try." He gave her a wink.
With that, they separated to start their first day of school.
Her first class was in the computer lab, and she claimed a seat near the middle, dropping her bag to the floor before she logged onto the desktop. Robby walked in a moment later, and when he saw her, he casually took the spot next to her.
"Hey, Ivy." He greeted her gently, hanging his bag on the back of his chair.
"Morning, Keene." She breathed without looking at him.
"My dad told me he talked to you." He started, typing away at his own computer.
"Yep, and I'm doing exactly what he says, leaving you alone." Ivy continued to type, working on a practice sheet the teacher had left by each computer.
"You don't have to do that." He mumbled, embarrassed.
"Yeah, I do." Ivy scoffed, "And not even because your dad asked me to."
"Why, your new boyfriend got a problem?" he asked, his voice equally angry and hurt.
"If he did, you'd know, cause he'd be pounding you into the pavement." She clicked her tongue.
"Then why?" Robby kept on, and Ivy rolled her eyes before facing him.
"Because, moron, I'm tired of your hot and cold bullshit. You're either over me or you're not. You either want to be my friend or you don't. Make up your fucking mind and stop wasting my time." She growled, going back to her work, "Not like I give a shit what you choose. You kept roping me together with the actual assholes, and I'm not going to keep being your cobra scapegoat when you get mad."
