The next day at school was pretty uneventful. Ivy had gotten through all of her classes without incident, texting back and forth with Sam when she could. She didn't tell her anything her dad had said the night before, even though she had asked, so they stuck to the topic of setting up the car wash. By the end of the school day, they were good to go, and all Ivy had to do was show up.

Hawk kept his eye on her whenever he saw her, and although she could feel the sting of his gaze, she was starting to get used to it. As long as he stared, she knew he still wanted her, and as long as he wanted her, she still had a chance to bring Eli back. Sometimes when she caught him looking, she would stare back, and the faintest hint of Eli would be there. Her heart would long for him, her eyes pleading for him, but then something else would catch his attention and Hawk would come back. It was starting to make Ivy sick with frustration, as she still couldn't figure out what to do to save him. She needed him as much as he needed her, and she was finding it difficult to stay strong.

When school let out, she drove home to change for the car wash, her outfit consisting of her Slytherin bikini top, bottoms, and a pair of jean shorts. She then went to work primping her hair and make-up, wanting to look as irresistible as possible so they could make the money for Miguel's surgery. She felt a little silly, as she knew people were going to be paying to watch her more than for the car wash, but Miguel needed her, and she would do anything for him. This was his chance to walk again, and if Ivy had to walk barefoot over broken glass to give him that chance, then she would. Thankfully, she had a safer option with the carwash, and being stared at wasn't nearly as bad. When she was done getting ready, she snapped a photo and sent it to Miguel.

About to get wet and wild for my favorite champ!

Looking good, loser! Where are you going?

It's a surprise, I'll tell you later.

Well, whatever you're doing, good luck!

Thanks, Migi.

Sliding her phone into her back pocket, she got the rest of her things together and went out to her truck to leave.

Sam had convinced a local grocery store to let them use their parking lot, and everything was already set up when Ivy arrived. She parked her truck out of the way and made her way to Sam who was double checking everything. The Miyagi-Dos and the cheerleaders were scattered around them, doing their best to help set up.

"Hey, everything good?" Ivy asked her.

"Oh, good, you're here." Sam smiled, "Yep, grab a bucket and a sponge. I'm going to put out the sign and then we're open."

"Roger, roger." Ivy nodded and moved to grab her supplies.

It didn't take long for the lot to fill up once Sam put the sign out, and Ivy went to work with the others, trying to work as quickly as possible so they could get other cars through. Thankfully, most of the people that came through were teenagers, and Ivy put on a good face as she scrubbed down their cars, trying not to let her nerves from the large crowd show. When one car was done, Nathan would come by to take the next car's money and then give Ivy the thumbs up to move on. They worked in sync like this for a while, making a pretty good team.

The noise increased as time went on, and Ivy had to try really hard not to get irritated. Having the entire cheerleading team, all of Miyagi-Do, and the large group of customers made for a pretty big sound stage, and the music Moon brought along only got louder and bassier. It was starting to give Ivy a headache, but she forced herself to push through it, determined to raise enough money for Miguel.
