When Ivy was awoken by a knock on her door exceptionally early the next morning, she decided right then and there that she was going to cover her door in barbed wire. She rolled out of bed, rubbing the sleep from her eyes as she made her way to the door. She opened it slowly and then woke right up when she saw it was Tory.

"Man, you've got some guts." Ivy spat, her voice hoarse from sleep, "Come for round two?"

"No, I'm still recovering from round one." Tory rubbed the back of her head, "It was a great shot, I'll give you that, but I had to come."

Ivy leaned her head out the door to peek around. The sun was barely rising, the sky still full of shadows from the night, and no one around the apartment complex was awake yet. At least from what she could tell.

"Get in here." Ivy growled, yanking Tory inside by her shirt.

She then closed the door behind them, hoping no one saw them before she crossed her arms and faced Tory again.

"Pretty nice place." Tory nodded as she glanced around.

"Don't take another step in and get to the point." Ivy pushed her, "It may be early as hell, but I'm still ready to beat the shit out of you."

"Alright, alright!" Tory held her hands up, "The events yesterday might have made it look like I betrayed our deal, but I wanted to explain myself before you jumped on me again."

"I'm far from changing my mind." Ivy scoffed, "But go ahead, give it a try."

"I got a text from Mitch saying that Miyagi-Do was attacking them, so I went to help them even the odds. I didn't know you were on their side." Tory rushed out, "I went to help my friends, and finish my fight with Sam, that's all. But if I knew you were on their team, I would have called mine off."

"Your team? Give me a break. And who gives a fuck where my loyalties lie? You told Hawk to break Dimitri's arm." Ivy reminded her.

"It's no secret that I hate Miyagi-Do. And they roughed up some of my guys pretty bad too." Tory shrugged without remorse, "And Dimitri is Hawk's business. Who am I to stand in his way from getting his revenge?"

"Besides the fact that breaking his arm was overkill and psychotic, and that I don't care who you hate, you still threw a wrench in my plan." Ivy scowled, "You played with Hawk's darkness, making him worse. After all the work I already put in, you got in my way again."

"Okay, I get that, and I'm sorry." Tory took a step back towards the door, "I won't push him again, I promise. Can we please just stick to our deal?"

"Depends, you got any worthwhile information?" Ivy cocked her eyebrow to taunt her.

"I don't know if it's worth anything, but Sensei Kreese has been acting strange, like he goes away mentally during classes. And when he comes back from zoning out, he's super angry. Haven't been able to figure out why though." Tory shook her head, "And Hawk seems to have changed a little since you beat the hell out of him. Like, he has more emotions than angry and smug now."

"Suppose that's a start." Ivy rolled her eyes with a shrug, "Fine, I'll give you one more chance. But just know that even though I'm unaffiliated, where Miyagi-Do goes, I will follow."

"Alright, I'll be sure to steer clear." Tory's eyes narrowed with a scowl.

"Smart choice." Ivy mocked her with a sneer, "Now get out of here."

Tory left without having to be told twice, and Ivy locked the door before she trudged back into her bedroom. She fell onto her bed with a groan, pulling the blankets up over her head. She really didn't care if Kreese was having problems, the more he suffered, the better. But the small change in Hawk got her thinking. Whether it was the beat down she gave him, or seeing Dimitri in pain, something was changing him, and it made her hopeful. Maybe she'd kick his ass again just for good measure. With a long yawn, she fell back asleep.
