They were back at the Dojo the next day, and Miguel was helping Daniel teach Miyagi-Do per his prize. Ivy started following Miguel's lead, but when she saw the fury in Johnny's eyes over it, she moved to him to try and defend Miguel.

"Sensei." She whispered as he had the Miyagi-Dos do push-ups, "He's not betraying you or changing sides. He's just trying to impress his girlfriend's dad. You have nothing to worry about."

"Yeah, whatever." He growled, his eyes trained on Miguel.

"Johnny-"

"Just go finish your training with them so we can get this pussy stuff over with already." Johnny snapped at her, his gaze going right back to Miguel.

"Yeah, okay..." she let out a defeated sigh. At least she tried.

Ivy fell back in line with the other Eagle Fangs and watched as Miguel and Daniel demonstrated some of the basics up on the sparring deck. She really tried to pay attention this time, but the sting of Johnny's rage on her back made it difficult.

When the demonstration was over, Daniel moved them inside to guide them in meditation. The others were able to follow his instructions, but Ivy chose to sit and watch Johnny through a crack in the screen as he taught the Miyagi-Dos kicks. She had too much on her mind to meditate anyway, and the hurt emanating from Johnny was just making it worse. Daniel shot her a glare as the others practiced their breathing, and she glared back, daring him to scold her. He closed his eyes again, deciding against it, and went about finishing the meditation.

By the time the session was over, Johnny's anger seemed to have melted away, but a sadness still lingered around him. As they made their way to their cars, Ivy tried to talk to him, but he called out to Miguel before she could say anything.

"Diaz! You hungry?" he asked with a smile, "I'll make your favorite? Spicy Manwich with a side of steak fries."

"I'm actually going with Mr. LaRusso to finish my mom's car." Miguel smiled awkwardly.

"Oh, okay, no problem." Johnny mumbled, his shoulders slumping in disappointment.

Ivy watched as Miguel left with Daniel, Johnny lingering near his van. She wanted to punch Daniel for all the trouble he was causing, but she knew that he probably didn't know how mad he was making Johnny, so it wouldn't help anything.

"Hey." She said gently as Johnny got into his van, "I'll have dinner with you."

"Sure thing, spitfire." He gave her a small smile, "Be there around five."

"See you then." She nodded, and he drove away somberly.

She walked to her truck with her head down, frustrated over how Daniel and Miguel were making Johnny feel, as Eli waited by the driver's side. He noticed her mood change right away and kissed her forehead affectionately.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"Too much to explain now." She sighed, "Johnny's upset."

"About what?"

"Miguel, and some other shit probably, I don't know. I'll fill you in later." She looked up at him, "I'm having dinner with Johnny to try and cheer him up."

"Ever the caring one." He smirked, but he was proud, "Well hey, they're having a kung-fu movie marathon at the drive-in tonight. Wanna go after dinner? We'll get everyone together."

"Yeah, I'll come along." She reached up to peck his lips, "I'll text you when dinner's done."

"Love you, gorgeous. See you later." He kissed her back and then turned to head towards his Sentra.
