The beach club is not what Ivy had expected. It was more lavish and fancier than she could have imagined with stunning architecture, nicely dressed servers and even valets. She chose to park her own truck though, not wanting anyone else to touch it, taking the Tiger's Eye off of the rearview mirror to wear it before she joined Aisha and Tory. They walked into the club and up a flight of stairs to reach a balcony, and Tory took that moment to express her surprise.

"Okay, this is not the beach...where are the homeless dudes on rollerblades and the guys shoving shitty hip-hop demos in your face?"

"Ha! No, don't worry, they'll come after they pass out the appetizers." Aisha teased.

"It is really nice here." Ivy added as she glanced around, "A little crowded, but I can see how it could be relaxing."

"It is when you learn to block out all the rich talk." Aisha scoffed, "Come on, let's go get lunch."

"I'll catch up. I want to check something out first." Tory let out a breath.

She then left them in a bit of a hurry, and Aisha shrugged before she led Ivy to the buffet table.

To her surprise, they were actually serving regular food. Sandwiches, chips and dip, veggie platters and friend chicken with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Ivy was thankful, taking a few sandwiches and loading up on chips as Aisha made her way down the line.

"Hey." Someone said from behind her, and she looked to see that Sam was there, just like Aisha had dreaded.

"Hey." Aisha answered with a scoff.

"So...how's it going?" Sam treaded carefully, and Ivy moved to the other side so she could talk to Aisha.

"You realize we're not okay?" Aisha rolled her eyes.

"What are you mad about?" Sam asked, looking like she wanted to fix things, "You guys are the ones that stomped all over our Valley Fest demo."

Ivy let out a laugh, remembering how fun that had been, and Aisha turned to put a hand on her hip as she faced Sam, ready to tell her off.

"Only after your father attacked our Dojo. What were we supposed to do?"

"He didn't attack you guys!" Sam shook her head.

"No? Snake in the grass?" Aisha gave her a pointed look, "Real subtle..."

"He's just trying to do the right thing." Sam mumbled.

"Alright!" Ivy put her hand up as Aisha let out a huff, "This is something you guys need to hash out. I'm going to go get some water. At best you guys will be friends again, at worst you'll bust out some teeth. I don't see an immediate threat here."

Ivy handed her plate to Aisha and left the girls to deal with their issues as she moved to the bar.

As she walked around the pool, someone grabbed her hand, and she knew who it was without even looking, the familiar warmth calming to the point where she couldn't yank her hand away.

"You look beautiful." They purred, and Ivy looked down to see Robby lounging on a lawn chair on his stomach, his green eyes sizing her up.

"Really? I was sure I was disgusting." She said flatly, "Though to be fair, my boobs are on full display today, so I can see why you would think that."

"Look..." he let out a breath and stood, still holding her hand, "About that, I'm sorry. I haven't been handling things well lately."

"The disgusting comment I can forgive." She shrugged, locking eyes with him, "The whole dead dad thing is where I draw the line."
