Kyouka was sitting against the wall right next to the nurse's office, hugging her knees against her chest.

'Why, Izuku? Why did you have to push Todoroki to use his flames? You could've beaten him and moved onto the next round so easily. I still don't understand even after your explanation. Is it because of his backstory?' Kyouka thought to herself before the image of Todoroki's face flashed in her head, causing her eyebrows to furrow. 'He probably told you that sob story just so you would feel bad for him and not only focus on winning. He knows how sympathetic you are and used it against you. Hell, I would bet he made up all of that sad crap before talking to you.'

And even if it wasn't made up, that doesn't give Todoroki the right to be pitied.

Izuku had gone through his own fair share of shit too, being tormented by Bakugo for most of his life and feeling like he could never amount to anything. And then he trained so hard for 10 months to finally get the opportunity to have a quirk of his own.

She remembered how hard Izuku pushed himself, resorting to ruining his own body if he felt like it was necessary to complete his training. She hated the memory of Izuku working out past midnight, hurting himself and still not thinking he was good enough.

At least Todoroki had a strong start, being blessed with such an amazing quirk and having the reputation of being the son of the number two hero. He was set for life straight from the beginning. There was no question that Todoroki would be one of the most powerful heroes out there, even if he only used his ice.

But he just had to let Izuku know about his stupid past. What reason did he have to share that kind of info in the first place?

Kyouka then stared at the ground as if it was her enemy, her breathing starting to get a little heavy while she clenched her teeth.

'It's all Todoroki's fault. Your current injuries and the loss of your victory. It's because of him. You were going to win this festival, Izuku. I know it would've happened... I swear, I'll get that bastard back for what he did to you, Izuku.'

A part of her wanted to find Todoroki right now and do everything she could in her power to get her payback.

She knew she stood no chance against him in terms of power, but if she could just catch him off guard and get her hands on him when he's all alone then she could...

Before dark thoughts could enter Kyouka's mind, a voice called out to her. "Jirou?"

Kyouka snapped back to reality and blinked, looking up to see Momo standing right in front of her. "Huh, Yaoyorozu? Why are you here?"

"I could ask you the same thing." Momo responded, crossing her arms. "I knew you stayed behind to talk to Midoriya, but you were gone longer than a couple of minutes. So I got worried and looked for you."

"Oh... My bad." Kyouka said, losing interest immediately. "Well, you can see I'm doing just fine so you can go on ahead and join the others."

"Aren't you going to come with me or at least prepare in one of the waiting rooms?" Momo asked, sitting next to Kyouka. "Iida's match is about to start and you're up next. You can't miss your match against Ashido."

"To hell with the festival. Just let the teachers know that I forfeit and to give the match to Ashido. I'll be staying here." Kyouka mumbled as she looked to the side.

Momo gasped. "What are you talking about? You're not seriously saying that you're giving up, are you?"

"Of course I'm saying that. What else would I be saying?" Kyouka asked as she shrugged her shoulders.
