Eden's Fruit

You had it really good, maybe even great

And then of Eden's fruit we did partake

There was wonder, there was splendor

But there was something longing for more

Double edged daggers should lie

But pain is edge of pleasure

It's the difference  between a trash and treasure

It's the feeling of thrills and the cold giving you chills

It's all so dangerous, it's all so beautiful

But Icarus knew the cost of flying too high

And now he rests where the sleeping lie

Be content and never be greedy

Even if the ache that has you needy

Drops you in a hole, kicks over the lid

Because you're going to wish the hurt was what you hid
