Serving and the Served

I have in my arms a tray

And what I'm serving? Time

All the hours of my life, given freely and true

Be it you may bite off more than you can chew

But I'll give you the best years of my life, and won't think twice

About all the words shared between mice

Gnawing away at the years I still may have

Looking to solve the mystery, as it stands out

Be wise, be true, use my time well

But to measure our truth only time will well
