Devil in a New Dress

Bathed in crimson head to toe she looked to the stars

Knowing full well the heaven she fell from

Betrayed her friends and was banished from

Her scarlet lipstick, her rosy cheeks

She delighted me in the soulless bleak

I was captured, taken, my heart was achin'

Because I knew I only had one night before I'd spend my life in hell

How many different ways would love I spell?

Before she digs her nails around heart, through my back and steals my lungs

She was a judge and jury that was hung

She could not decide herself

To taint my heart and send on the path of flames

Or to pull the strings and torture me all the same
