Warzone

You could give me all your rain in all its fury

Only to say you need to hurry

To avoid the storm, only pass it along

There are the lyrics to the same old song

You'll cry and beg after storms brew and embolden

You seem to forget the one rule that is  golden

How can you expect civility and serenity in a warzone gone mad

I no longer feel emotions, not anger, not an ounce of sad

I'm only tired of being the wall you slam your fists on

The wall you plead and cry on

So tell me why you feel regret only after walls have crumbled

And in your old age writhe and grumble

Is it because you never truly try to change the song you keep singing?

The pain in your ears that just keeps ringing?

But don't worry, I'm privy to the meaning between the lines

Which is why I'm so tired of hearing you whine

I may never escape the fire, the warzone, or the rain

maybe not even the torment or the pain

But I will learn what it means to end the storms

End the fighting End the screaming End the Sorrow

Because your today will not be my tomorrow
