A Timeworn Soul

What do you do, that your body aches?

Your muscles tense?

The crack and pops your bone makes

Have you grown old, or has time aged you?

"Perhaps I carry the soul of a man far older than I, be he more foolish with bravado or careful with his cadence, he aches with me, as I walk a tired path"

What do you do, that your soul grows weary?

Your wounds heal slowly

Your eyes always so teary

Have you come to know what life is, or have you become life itself?

"For what so wise, my answers seem so unwise, for not even with time do my answers revise, words have always escaped  me, even if they seem to stay tame.My feelings on life on any two days are never the same"

And so you, a timeworn soul have tempered life experience and wisdom as time goes on

When all is said and done, what will be the prize to be won?
