I opened the door to reveal a shy smiling Yeji-unnie. I smiled at her, raising one finger as I looked over my shoulder, seeing all seven of my soulmates stand there in the hallway.
" I'll see you later, oppas! I love you!"
I heard them respond in chorus, and I felt extreme love and adoration blossom through our soulmate bond as I closed the door. I looked at Yeji-unnie, who gave me a sweet and shy smile as she adjusts her beanie.
" Ready, Y/N-ie?" she asked. I nodded, and she led me to her car. We both hopped in the car and it wasn't long until she turned the engine and we were soon driving down the streets. " I hope you don't mind some bubble tea and snacks. I've been craving for it for weeks now."
" I don't mind, unnie! I love bubble tea and snacks," I said with a bright smile on my face. I've always wanted to hang out with Yeji-unnie, but I didn't know how to text her. I was thankful to see her reaching out to me. She is my brother's soulmate and I approved of her. Big time.
" Phew, that's good! Anyways, how are you?" she asks. " Everything alright?"
I nodded, and then remembered that she was driving and that she had her eyes on the road. " Yeah, everything is fine, unnie. How about you?"
She thought about it and she slowly nods. " I'm happy. Joonwoo-ssi really makes me happy. I love him. Even though we've only known each other for a while, like for 2 months or so, I really do love him. My parents really approve of him. And my brother and sisters, from what they've heard me talk about him. They met through FaceTime and I thought it was going to go downhill with Hyunjin-oppa, but he was fine with it. They're all happy for us," she says with a small smile on her face.
" That's good, unnie!"
" How about you, Y/N-ie? I noticed some love bites on your neck," she says with a mischievous smirk on her face. I flushed, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
" It's.. amazing. I can't help but fall even deeper in love with all of my soulmates. I have no idea why I deserve seven handsome, accomodating, amazing, out of this world men to be mine. It's like a dream."
" I'm guessing that it's a out of this world dream, then?" Yeji-unnie asked. I sighed contently.
" A very good dream."
She made a left into the food court and we went out of the car. She locked her car before she waves at me to follow her. We walked inside the bubble tea place and I immediately inhaled the aroma of the bubble tea. We sat down at a booth, reading over the menu as we made small talk.
" When is the wedding?" she asked jokingly. I blushed.
" Unnie! We haven't talked about anything like that," I mumbled. She giggles. " Well, then, how about you? When's the wedding? Am I part of your bridesmaids?"
It was her turn to blush as she looks away. " Y/N-ie! We, too.. haven't talked about marriage. But for all I know, you will be one of my bridesmaids."
" Aw, unnie, that's so sweet!" I said, giggling. She giggled with me, tucking a strand of hair behind her air. A waiter came over, smiling a nice smile towards us and he took our orders, saying that our teas and snacks will be over in about 15 minutes.
The atmosphere around us changed as we both looked at each other's battle scars: both of our scars were on our collarbones. Where the stitches were.
" How are you feeling? After.. everything?" I asked. Yeji-unnie sighs, shaking her shoulders.
" I honestly don't know. I mean, it was a pretty weird timing of meeting my soulmate, finding out that he is the nephew of my kidnapper that wanted to kill me. But, I'm thankful that I found him. I honestly didn't know what I was going to do if I wouldn't have found him in time. As for the trauma.. I don't know. I had nightmares nights after I came home with Joonwoo-ah. But he was there. Is there. All the time. He promised me that he will always be there. How about you?"
