" We'll pick you up later, yeobos!" Koo says as Joonie, Tae and I hopped out of the car and started to walk to the entrance of my primary school. I felt extremely giddy since the last time I was here, I was crowned 'Little Valedictorian.' Lisa and I attended this school together and come to think of it, it seems as though Lisa and I have been through everything with each other and I couldn't be more glad that my best friend, my sister was there with through all of my life.
Joonie and Tae interlaced our fingers together as we walked to the office, waiting for Lisa and Beomgyu. In less than a few minutes, both of them walked through the sliding doors, holding hands and wearing matching outfits. If people asked Lisa who her soulmate was, she had to say was; ' the one wearing the same outfit as me.'
They made a beeline to us, and I instantly wrapped my arms around Lisa as she wrapped hers around me.
" Isn't this exciting? The last time we saw these people, we were all little and had high squeaky voices like mice," she said. I looked at her, shaking my head and walking back to the arms of my soulmates.
" I think it was only you, Lisa, who had the voice of a mice," I giggled. She gave me a glare, shaking her head as Beom-ie and her walked next to us.
" That's not true. Don't you remember Young-jun? His voice was exceptionally high for a boy," she says loudly as we walked to our old class.
" Can't you be any louder?" I asked her, raising my right eyebrow. She poked her tongue out from me.
" Actually I can," she says.
" Actually she can. Especially in bed," Beom-ie smirks. Lisa turns bright red and she hits Beom-ie across the back of his head. Beom-ie whines and rubs the spot where Lisa hit him, shrugging as he looks at his fiancé. " The comment was worth your reaction. Look at you, you're brighter than a tomato!"
Lisa glares at her soulmate, 'tsk'ing as she shakes her head. " You're insufferable."
" And you're going to be stuck by my side forever," Beom-ie says proudly. Lisa sighs.
" Unfortunately," she says, a mocking sad expression on her face, but I saw the curves of her lips were itching to go up in a huge smile. We stopped walking to stop in front of the door of our old classroom. Lisa looks sideways to me, seeing that we have left out soulmates side and we were now standing next to each other. She puts her arms through mine and I was taken back to our first day of high school together.
" You ready?" Lisa asks gently as we looked at the staircase of our new school. Winter holidays was too short and now, we were standing in a new school, full of new people and new teachers, with new subjects. I looked at her. She was much taller than me.
I gave her a small smile as I thought to my Eomma and Appa and Oppa. I knew that they were watching me and they were proud of me for not giving up. Now, here I am, 13 years old and I'm here in high school. It was going to be hard without them, but I've got my best friend, my sister, Lisa, by my side. And I've got Eomma Manoban and Appa Manoban as well.
" I think so," I told her. She gives me a smile as she reaches over and fixes my tie. Then, she puts her arm through mine, pulling me close as she smiles her biggest and brightest smile towards me.
" Forever together, Y/N?" she says. I nodded, squeezing myself next to her tightly.
" Forever together, Lisa."
I looked at Lisa, seeing her smile the same way that day.
" Ready to re-meet the people of our class once again?" she asks. I gave her a mocking salute.
