Weeks had gone by and no one had seen Cassie or Effie.
Each time the French Ministry gave Remus a location on Effie, by the time order members arrived and searched for the two, they were gone again.Harry was fretting with worry ever since he found out. Since arriving back at the Dursley's for summer, he sent owls almost daily to the others to see if she had returned, but got no answer.
He too had been looking for her, but could only search as far as Little Winging. In just over 5 weeks, Cassie and Effie had managed to cause major chaos around London, Liverpool, Blackpool and Birmingham.
They started of small, the occasional muggle claiming he saw 'wizards'.
Cassie used her mother's magic, not that she knew it was from her mother, to plant fake scenarios in peoples head; make them seem crazy to other members of the public.
Obviously, no one believed any of the crazy claims, because to muggles, wizards weren't real only fictional.Their games were noticed by the Wizarding community though, it was impossible for them not to be.
With each muggle claiming to have seen a 'Wizard', the Ministry got more and more anxious incase the secrecy of their world had been compromised.Sirius knew from the first article in the Daily Prophet that mentioned these claims that Cassie was behind them.
It was so obvious, as it was a trick he would likely play too.The Muggles description of the 'Wizards' was what gave them away to Sirius. 'Obnoxious noses and green tinted skin' didn't exactly resemble a true wizard.
Cassie never wanted to expose the Wizarding world, but she'd continue to make the Ministry fear constantly.
It was a form of her revenge so to say, for all the times they've fucked her over. For each gruesome foster home they put her in, for the prejudice she faced for being a Black and for Cedric.
Cassie and Effie partied till dawn most nights when they weren't running rings around the Ministry.
They always seemed to end up in a different city by morning somehow.Things within the order were as hectic as ever.
Dumbledore had managed to enlist as many people into the order as possible. Many of them helped fight the first Wizarding War aswell.
As far as the Ministry were concerned, Cedrics's death remained a terrible tragedy, Voldemort simply couldn't be back and they showed little interest in the runaway teens. Partly because one of the teens were a Black and the other one was, 'The French Ministry's problem'.Harry was facing his own problems in Little Whinging too.
Not only did he have Dudley terrorizing him, none of his friends replying to any of his owls and Cassie missing, he also now had Dementor issues and possible expulsion from Hogwarts. It had all happened so fast, one minute Dudley was taunting Harry as he usually did, the next the two were running down a slippery under path away from two demented Dementors.
Harry had no choice.
The Dementors had corned them both, already feeding on their souls.Dudley was lucky in a sense, he didn't have to see the gliding, wraithlike dark creature, though he could still feel the temperature plummet and the peace, hope and happiness draining into the air around them along with any good memory he had.
Harry had to see it all, feel it all, and deal with it all.
Conjuring a Patronus was the only option he had as the boys were about to be made victims of the Dementors Kiss.
