"I hate storms." Cassie told Remus as they sat by the fire, flinching at the sound of thunder.
"Really?" Remus hummed. "You used to sit and watch them for hours."
"Cant anymore." Cassie shrugged, leaning against Harry. "The noise just reminds me of..."
Remus still didn't know much of what happened at Malfoy Manor.
"Dad dropped a pan the other day." Cassie continued after a minute. "Nearly hexed him for it, didn't realize it was him making the noise to begin with."
"What was he even cooking?" Remus laughed, knowing Cassie wouldn't have wanted to talk about why hexing him was her first thought.
"Pasta. Burnt it all." Cassie smiled.
"I nearly kicked him out two days ago." Remus smiled. "He left a pizza in the oven for three hours."
"Maybe he just wanted it extra crispy." Cassie joked.
"More like cremated." Remus scoffed.
Conversations like this was how Cassie spent her days recently.
She hadn't spoke to Harry since their argument, and was rarely going to any of her lessons like Dumbledore wished.
Staying at home, in her little bubble of her dad and Moony was how she preferred to spend her time.
"Chit chatting again are we?" Sirius asked, walking into the living room.
"Slagging off your cooking actually." Cassie laughed.
"Well that's just harsh! I'm trying my best. If it's that bad, i'm sure the dining hall at Hogwarts is always full of food."
"In second thought, your cookings fine. In fact, you're almost a qualified chef." Cassie quickly decided.
"Come on Cassie," Remus sighed. "You know the agreement was made with Dumbledore, you have to go back."
"Heard the only lessons left for today are with James," Sirius started. "why don't you just go to them. I'm sure he'll let you distract him for hours. Even Professor Mcgonagall would let you waffle at her for hours."
Cassie pondered over the idea. She knew she would have no chance in completely defying Dumbledores orders, but it was very tempting to push the old man as far as she could.
"Oh really. Are you sure you're both not just trying to get me out of the house so you can have the place to yourselves." Cassie smirked.
After the initial shock of finding out about her dad and Moony, Cassie accepted the fact they were together better than the two men could have ever thought.
"Right that's it." Sirius managed to say, as his face turned bright red. "Your uniform is upstairs, and i'll be letting James know you're on the way so he can make you do triple the amount of work for comments like that!"
"No need to be so embarrassed." Cassie chuckled, leaving to go upstairs.
Even though she was only expected to be at Hogwarts for a couple of hours, Cassie still dreaded the idea.
