Sobriety was supposedly for the better her father had told her, but she still hated it.
It had been 25 fucking days, and she hadn't found one good thing that came from being sober.Thoughts flooded into her head again, when the drugs used to keep them out.
Thoughts about Voldemort mostly consumed her.
She wasn't scared of Voldemort himself, but of how disappointed everyone would be if when the time came, she became one of them.In a strange way, she was relieved to be returning back to Hogwarts, even though she was enjoying her fathers company over Christmas.
If she had to betray them all, it would be easier if she didn't grow close with Sirius."Hurry up! You're going to miss the train!" Mrs Weasleys voice echoed through the house.
Everyone was rushing, Mrs Weasley wasn't someone you messed with. If she told you to hurry, you'd move mountains to be on time.
Cassie raced down the stairs, shoe laces left untied.
Hermione would usually lecture her on how that was an accident waiting to happen, but she was too busy for that this morning.Sirius was practically pulling his hair out, he didn't want to see her leave.
"You look like you woke up less than ten minutes ago!" Sirius said, grabbing her before she left.
"More like five." Cassie said yawning.
"Merlin's sake Cassie! What time did you even go to bed? Make sure you get some sleep on the train, and some food." Sirius said frantically.
"It's too early for you to be nagging at me." Cassie groaned, pulling her hair into a bun to hide the knots she hadn't brushed out yet.
"I'm being serious Cassie." he said, hiding his grin at his pathetic joke. "I'll be checking with Harry later."
"He'll tell you whatever I tell him to tell you." Cassie chuckled to herself.
"What is that supposed to mean?" he asked eyeing her carefully.
"Nothing." Cassie shrugged as Mrs Weasley marched over.
"Ready to go dear? Do you have your trunk and your wand?" she asked.
Cassie nodded.
"Right, two minutes then we're leaving!" Mrs Weasley smiled as she left to round up the others.
"I can't believe I won't see you until Easter." Sirius frowned.
"Won't be that hard. You've left me for 12 years before." Cassie replied casually.
"You know that wasn't—"
"I'm joking. Bloody hell." Cassie laughed.
"Well it wasn't very funny. I'm going to miss you massively. Try and behave Cassie. Don't cause any unnecessary trouble, especially with Professor Umbridge—"
"—She's a cunt." Cassie scoffed.
"Cassie." he warned. "You know how impressionable she is with the Minister, try and keep out of her way. Remember you have the extra lessons with Snape, which i'm not very happy about, but Dumbledore thinks they're useful."
