Cassie paced in her room.
One end to the other, over and over again.

Part of her wanted to demolish every bottle of alcohol her dad had in the very unnecessarily large wine cellar which held more than just wine.
The somewhat sensible part of her thought turning up absolutely wasted to an Order meeting, where she would be seeing Harry fucking Potter again wasnt the best of ideas.

After much deliberation, Cassie compromised with herself.
The meeting was due to start in 10 minutes, and Harry hadn't arrived yet, thankfully.

Cassie made a break to the wine cellar before anyone could see her, downing only one bottle of the worst wine she had ever tasted. There was no way she could face him completely sober.

Her heart raced as she watched the clock, it was 5 minutes past seven.
She figured if she was fashionably late, Harry couldn't say anything to her, just yet.
There was no denying Harry James Potter was dramatic, overly dramatic at times, but Cassie knew he would never dare to cause a scene infront of so many Ministry officials and Aurors.

So that's what Cassie did. She waited until the clock read quarter past seven before moving to the reception hall.

Sirius wasn't going to pressure his daughter into attending, that would be cruel, so when she never showed at Seven O'clock he understood.

But, he didn't understand why everyone's head span as Dumbledore was speaking mid sentence until he caught sight of his daughter walking to the last empty seat.

"Ah, it's nice to see you Miss Black." Dumbledore smiled.

"Cant say the same." Cassie hit back, sitting down catching everyone by surprise whilst they gawped at her.

Cassie had been doing a lot of thinking whilst locked away at the Manor.
When her pain subsided just enough to where she could hear herself think again, Dumbledore crept to her mind sometimes.

Voldemort had said that if she wouldn't join him, he would keep her merely so Dumbledore couldn't use her her as a weapon against him.

It didn't make sense at first, her tortured filled brain couldn't quite comprehend what he had meant.
Until one day, or night she wasn't sure, it clicked.

Dumbledore kept her around for her magic.
When she was a child, he had no problem sending her off to an orphanage to live a miserable life.
There wasn't a threat to the Wizarding world then, Harry had solved that problem for him, and she definitely wasn't skilled enough to be of any use.

As Cassie got older, she had something he needed.

Since her first year at Hogwarts, Cassie created nothing but trouble. There was always something the Quartet was doing, that they most definitely shouldn't have been and there was never once a consequence for their actions only praise.

Cassie without a doubt must've broken records for the most classes missed, or the most overdue assignments but she still faced no punishment off of the Headmaster for them.
Even when her and Effie were completely high off of their faces, or when they ran away, neither of them faced anything as little as a detention for it.
Cassie couldn't help but think the only reason she hadn't been expelled yet was for Dumbledores benefit.

The meeting dragged on, Cassie spending most of it avoiding Harrys gaze.
The twins attempted to catch her attention on multiple occasions but never seemed to get a reaction.
