The night was spent with laughter echoing off the walls along with awkward glances.
Hermione, Ron and Harry were worried for Cass, she had changed, but they were also worried about what would happen if she knew what they were keeping secret. Before, Cass had a form of control over he reckless acts, but now it was long gone.
Harry felt as if he couldn't tell Cass about the disturbing vision he had days ago. He didn't know if it was because he would have to reveal Sirius to her or if he couldn't trust her anymore. Despite her impulsiveness and recklessness before, Cass could always be trusted but now she seemed somewhat insane. They way she laughed at things, or the look she had in her eyes when she went quiet seemed menacing and psychotic but it wasn't. It wasn't insanity. It was worse.
Molly had ordered them off to bed hours ago, but Cassie layed awake. Late nights used to be Cassie's friend. She use to love the peace they'd bring her and the mischief they radiated but now it was her worst nightmare. It was as if someone unleashed demons on her every night. These demons forced her to relive everything she's ever done. The good and the bad, though the good was quickly turned to bad. Every horrid memory felt incredibly worse than it ever used to. All the good memories turned bad when she started questioning her every past action.
Was she too sarcastic one too many times to Ron? Is that why he's walking on egg shells around her.
Could she of been less troublesome around Hermione? Is that why she sends her weary glances.
Could she of done better. Is that why Harry seems distant from her?
Maybe, she'd pushed them all to breaking point with her stupid antics.
The demons were soon banished from her thoughts, for now, when Mrs Weasley woke them up bright and early.
Cass got dressed, with fashion help from George surprisingly. She allowed him to choose her outfit with the condition that she got to wear her black leather jacket. In the end, it turned out that George was quite the stylist.
Cass, Hermione, Ginny and George all made their way downstairs for breakfast.
Harry was in conversation with Arthur about muggle clothing. Cass noticed his messy bed hair and his raspy morning voice and found herself oddly attracted to it— wait what.
After a quick breakfast and complaints from Fred, George and Cassie that they couldn't apparate and stay in bed longer like Bill, Percy and Charlie, they set off.
The twins were in a sour mood as their mother had found multiple Weasleys Wizards Wheazes products stashed into their pockets before they left. Molly summoned them all to her before giving them a lengthy lecture about how they could've spent time studying for their OWLS instead.
