Life without drugs was miserable.
The days seemed longer, people seemed even less tolerable and Effie seemed like her worst nightmare for a while.
She loved Effie to bits, she truly did, but dumping her drugs was a dick move, even if it was best for her.
If drugs weren't an option, Cassie knew there was one other thing that could help her. Her drug, Harry.
"Potter." Effie smiled sitting one side of Harry.
"Potter." Cassie smirked, sitting on the other.
Effie had learnt everything that had happened since she had been gone, including Cassie's and Harrys 'evolved' friendship.
She saw it from her first day at Hogwarts, the way Harry would look at Cassie and the pure jealousy in his eyes when Cedric was around.
"You're talking to me now?" he asked, in shock.
"Who said anything about talking?" Cassie smiled, trouble on her mind.
"Do you mind." Sirius glared, as he walked in. "Some of us would like to eat breakfast."
"Well maybe if you didn't ban Harry from my room, you wouldn't have heard me say that." Cassie said getting up.
"Where you going?" Harry asked, she had only just walked in.
"I don't know, you coming?"
Harry wasted no time in getting up. He scrambled from his chair, rushed past Sirius cautiously who looked as if he was about to have an aneurysm, and did exactly as Cassie asked and followed like a lost puppy.
Sirius did all he could to calm himself down, but nothing worked. He screamed for Lily and James, they were both more accepting of Harry and Cassie's situation, if that's what you
could call it.
Lily believed Sirius hated it because it showed Cassie was now grown up, she wasn't his little girl anymore and he couldn't do anything to stop it.
James loved the idea of a Potter and a Black, and didn't hide his excitement very well.
He had given Harry 𝘵𝘩𝘦 talk, shared all of his advice on how to win a girl over and bought him endless colognes so 'Cassie would fall head over heels for him'.
Harry knew almost everything his dad had shared with him wouldn't work, it took years for it to work on Lily, and Cassie was the polar opposite of his mum.
It was dark, purposefully.
They were hidden, far away from her dad, faces just inches apart.
Harry could smell the faint trace of cigarettes from her breath, he had grown to like it, or just tolerate it, but he didn't mind. If he could smell them, it meant he was extremely close to Cassie, and that is exactly where he wanted to be.
"I'm sorry. Like really sorry." he whispered, their breathes merging into one.
"I know, me too. I was a bitch, whats new." she laughed quietly.
"I've missed you."
Harry was barely able to finish his sentence before his lips crashed into hers, hungry and desperate.
He took control, Cassie was left powerless which wasn't a usual feeling.
His hands traced her body, lingering for longer in places as Cassie's tangled hers in the back of his hair.
It wasn't slow or pretty, or something you'd see in a movie, but it was perfect. That had to count for something.
He moved and started to trail kisses down her neck, the ones that would definitely leave a mark.
Cassie lifted her head, she was not about to stop him.
She promised herself she'd never distance herself from him again.
