Chapter 39~ Wrong scenery

Tris POV
It's been a week since the incident at school and so far everyones either forgotten about it or just doesn't care. There is a girl who got pregnant though so that took everyone's attention off of me.

"Hey tris!" Uriah says coming up to me and the girls at our table at lunch. "Hi." I say and mar gets up and plants a kiss on his cheek. He takes a seat next to her and starts talking. "So girls.. We are all going clubbing tonight." "Clubs? I don't know Uri.." I start. "Come on tris it'll be fun!" Chris squeals. "You just want to do my hair and make up." I state. "It's a bonus." She says and I laugh. Tobias comes and sits by me. "You coming?" He asks and I shrug. "It'll be fun." He says. I sigh. "Fine!" I give in and the girls squeal some more and tobias kisses my cheek.

School let out about three hours ago and within those 3 hours we've shopped, gossiped, shopped more, and I've almost killed all the girls. "Come on tris! One last dress!" Marlene says shoving me into a dressing room. "I said nothing slutty. This is the definition of slutty!" I tell her. The dress is white and strapless. It barely passed my butt and it's almost see through. There is no way I'm wearing it! "No!" I scream. I can hear them argue since I didn't show them the dress on me but I'm already changed out of it.

"I found one I like." I tell them and i go try it on. It's one shouldered, long enough for me but short enough for them, it's black and I have heels that'll go nicely with it. (Pic above) "I love it!" The girls comment and I go buy it. We go back to the apartment to get ready. Marlene's wearing a lacy yellow dress that is really pretty on her, Shauna's wearing a dark green dress with no back to it. Christina's wearing an icy blue color, and may I say too much makeup. They do my make up, smoky eye and some clear lip gloss. They curl my hair and spray or I would call it drenched me in perfume. "Let's go!" Chris says abs we head down stairs. We're meeting the boys there. We get into Chris's car and start driving.

About 10 minutes later we get there and go inside. It's reeks of alcohol and mixing perfumes, the lights are almost blinding and they couldn't have the music any louder. Everyones dancing, drinking and making out. "Don't worry, eventually the kissing will dial down. Some go into the back rooms If they want to intensify things." I almost gag at the comment Marlene told me. I choose to nod along and we go find the boys. "You look great tris." Tobias says coming towards me. "Thanks." I say and kiss him. "Let's go dance." He says and takes my hand.

"Sorry if I'm a downer tonight, this just isn't my scenery." I tell him. "It's fine. We won't be staying too long." He says. "What?" "I'm taking you somewhere. That's why I drove in my car instead of zeke's." He says with a small smirk on his face. I lean in and kiss him because it felt right in the moment. He doesn't hesitate to kiss back, with passion and power. His arms wrap around my waist as I hold on around his neck. "Hey guys! There's a room open if you want it!" Zeke yells and I pull back instantly. "Shut up." Tobias yells back to him but in a playful way. We walk back over to where everyone's sitting and we all chat and laugh for a while. Will and chris disappeared somewhere on the dance floor and uriah and Marlene are having a heated make out session.

"Let's go." Tobias whispers in my ear. We get up and walk to his car. "Strap in." He says when he sees me just sitting there. I nod and do what he said. He starts to drive and I can't help look at the stars. They twinkle so bright, they're demanding but so small. "Like you." Tobias whispers.
