Chapter 26~ Fear in Flight

Tobias POV
Tris wakes me up in the morning so I can get ready before we meet up with everyone else to catch the plane. I grab some clothes and go into the bathroom. I let the cold water flow over me and let it wake me up. I step out and change and go find tris in the kitchen. "Morning." I say grabbing an energy drink to get me going. "Hey. You all packed right?" She asks. "Yep! Finished last night." She smiles. "I'm excited." I say and she agrees. "Chris just texted me. Let's go!" She says and we grab our bags.

We make it to the air port and find everyone. "I get the window!" "No I do!" "I called it!" "I'm older!!" "What about me? I'm your girlfriend?" Marlene chimes in. Tris looks up at me and I walk over to the three of them. "Zeke just sit in a different window seat and uriah you sort it out with your girlfriend." I tell them and Zeke walks over to Shuana who's texting and applying red lipstick. Chris and tris are talking together and will's reading some airplane manual. "Flight A14" I hear an announcer over the intercom. Tris comes and takes my hand and we give them out tickets.

"I'll take the window okay." Tris says knowing my fear of heights. "Okay." I say taking a seat. Tris doesn't let go of my hand which I'm thankful for. "Can I get a cookie?? Am I allowed to have one?" I hear uriah say and he's standing up in his seat. "Sit down! Your embarrassing me!" I hear Marlene retort. I laugh and tris shakes her head. I feel the plane shudder and my eyes widen. "It's okay. Just breathe." Tris whisper to me. I start to sweat and shake. Suddenly I feel tris's sweet soft lips, they kiss my cheek and soon touch my lips. I move my head to face her never ending the connection. Cherry fills my mouth and an unexplainable feeling fills me.

She pulls away smirking. "We're in the air." She says and I give her a confused look. "We are?" She nods. "Wow. Your good." I say and put my arm over her shoulder.

I don't know how many hours it's been but soon we're getting close to our destination. Tris is asleep on my shoulder, her cute little snores fill the air. I shake her softly and she shifts. I shake her again and she rolls over having her back facing me. "Tris wake up." "What?" She asks annoyed. "We're gonna land". I say and she pops right up. She's smiling and looking out the window. This is going to be one hell of a vacation!
