Chapter 44~ Regret and reconsidering

Tobias POV
I watch tris walk out of the apartment, I don't know how long I stand there till I realize she needs air and some time. I walk back into the bedroom and collapse on the bed. I knew it was too early to bring it up! God I'm so stupid! Ugh!! I lift my head up from my hands and turn the lights out, I crawl underneath the covers and try to fall asleep.

••••Tris POV••••
I choose to walk around a local park that's close by, it's really beautiful this time of year. Trees are blossoming and flowers of every color pop up everywhere. I sit down on a tan colored bench and watch the world go by. "Mommy mommy!" I hear a little girl giggling behind me and I have the urge to turn and look, I do. She's adorable. Purple overalls, white shirt and cute sparkly purple flats. Her reddish Orange hair is pulled into piggy tails and she's running around in the grass. Her mommy comes over and spins her around. I turn back around.

Could I be that? Could that be me?? I told tobias that my future may not have that.. Was I wrong??

I can picture him with a little child, girl or boy. He was planning my future and practically taking something away from me, but I'm doing the same. I'm taking something away from tobias.

I get up and head back to the apartment. Once in our's I go over to the bedroom since I see the doors closed. I open it and tobias is sleeping in bed. All the lights in the apartment are off so I can keep the door open without waking him up with light. I lean in the doorway and watch him, not creepily but lovingly. I go in all the way and change for bed. Once done I go over to the bed and slide underneath the covers. He moves a little and sits up. "Tris? Tris!" He says half asleep and then realizing its me. "Hey." I say. I'm smiling and I can't tell if he is too.

"I'm sorry! I should've-" I cut him off. "No tobias. I'm sorry, I've been thinking and I'm reconsidering it." I say and now I know he's smiling. "Really?" He asks trying to keep it cool. "Yea. I could see us having a kid together." I say. I didn't know the words were even there, that the feelings like that were there but now I know they are. "Tris thank you." He says. "One thing though." I say. "Of course!" "We wait a little longer." I say.

"I'd wait forever for you." I smile. "Tris I promised you a forever, I'm not going anywhere." He says. I kiss him and curl up into him and we fall asleep like that.
