Tobias POV
I open the door into the detention room, it's an old classroom that they don't use for teaching purposes anymore. I take a seat in the back, the desks are small and a wooden top with metal legs.

The chairs aren't any better, they're this ugly light blue color, some have scribbles or explicit language on them. They are all wobbly so you can never sit straight or still. Few more kids come in and we all spread out, its not a rule, people in here just don't normally like to sit next to other people.

A lot of people in here have been here before or are always in here. But the next person to walk through that door, is someone I never expected to ever get detention. My tris. She walks over to the desk next to me, on my right and take a seat. "Tris?!" I exclaim. "Hmm?" She mumbles while pulling her phone out. "Why are you here? Why did you get detention?" I ask shocked. She turns to me with a smirk, "Thought we could have a date in detention." She says. Then the teacher walks in.

He's also the technology teacher but helps out with watching the kids here in detention. "Alright. Let's go over the rules." He says. His voice is annoying and irritating, it's whiny and sounds as if he's got a cold 24/7.

"Rule 1- no talking."

"Rule 2- no whispering."

"Rule 3- no texting."

"Rule 4- no social media."

"Rule 5- no phone calls."

"Rule 6- no taking pictures or videos. Let's skip some all together and combine them by saying no phones or electrical devices." He says.

There's snickers throughout the room but he doesn't seem to notice.

"Rule 11- no gum, food, or drinks." He says. I don't listen to the rest, I don't think I was really listening from the beginning. Tris is slouched in her chair and picking at her nails. He has a pencil and sketchbook out on her desk, she likes to sketch things if she's bored. I didn't bring anything so I have to sit here for an hour bored as hell, wondering what my girlfriend did to get in here.

The teacher walks back to his desk and takes out the newspaper, he holds it up and it covers his face. I take this as an opportunity to lean over, "Tris." I whisper. Her head snaps my way. "Tell me." I says. She smiles a little. "No talking." The teacher says from behind the paper, "No talking." Tris says. I lean back and sigh. "No sighing." The teacher says. I roll my eyes, this is gonna be a long hour.

The brutal hour finally ended, and we all rush out. I catch up with tris in the parking lot, as we get into the car. She looks over at me, I'm assuming wanting to know why I haven't started the care yet. "Tell me first." I say and she sighs. "I wanted to be in there with you." She says.

"So you got detention, on purpose, just so you could be in there with me??" I ask. She nods. I laugh and start the car up. I pull out, still laughing. "That's gotta be the stupidest thing you've ever done tris." I say. I can see her scowling at me from the corner of my eye. "But also one of the sweetest." I say resting a hand on her thigh. I look over at her when we stop at a red light, and she kisses me lightly before the light turns green.
