Chapter 38~April Warmth

Tris POV (time lapse-1 month)
The past month has been great! Our vacation finished up and tobias and I have been closer then ever. We still can't believe we all are graduating next month.

It's finally getting warmer out and us girls can finally wear dresses to school again because of the warm weather. Today I decided on a navy and flower patterned dress with red flats, it's Monday so I'm still very tired. "Tris!" I hear tobias call for me from the bathroom. I walk in and he's in the shower, I turn towards the door so I don't see anything. "Can you get me towel??" He asks. I sigh. "Why didn't you bring one in with you?" I ask. I hear him laugh and the water shut off. "I'm getting out." He informs me. "Wait! Stop!" I say and run out of the room and grab a grey towel. I close my eyes and toss it to him. He laughs again and I go get breakfast.

He comes out 20 minutes later in a black shirt and jeans. He sits down and I slide him a plate of food, "Ready for school?" He asks already knowing the answer. "What do you think??" I ask cleaning the pan. "I don't know. Enlighten me." He says and I laugh. "I hate Monday's. I hate school. So today is going to suck. There.. That's what I think." I say and he laughs. We finish breakfast and get our bags. We get to school and tobias parks then we get out. After loading up my locker, tobias says he'll meet me in class. I see Zeke waving him over so I go join chris and walk to first period.

Zeke walks over to me and his face is distorted in fear and worry. He drags my arm believe it or not into the nearest janitor closet. "Look Zeke im not making out with you so you might want to ask shau-" I'm cut off. "I got Shauna pregnant!" He blurts. I'm taken back a little, "What?" I ask. "We've been doing it and then lately she just hasn't been feeling good. We went to the doctor and they said she's already two months, but there's no real bump yet." He says and I can feel his voice cracking. "Your not happy at all?" I ask. "Look at me man! I can't have a child! Shauna's nervous but is excited too, whereas im just all nervous." He says. I nod. "You'll be a great dad Zeke I know it." I say but he disagrees.

"I won't. I'm not grown up enough." He says. "Well.." I start but you can't really argue with that. "Have you told Shauna how you feel?" I ask. "Yea. She said I'll be fine, she says she loves me for trying." He says. He sits down in the floor and brings his knees to his chest.
"She's right." I say. "Aren't you supposed to be married to have a kid?" He asks. I shake my head. "Oh." Is all he replay with. "Have you told her parents or anyone else??" I ask.

"Yes. Her parents now officially hate me!" He says with a hint of sarcasm. "No. You the first one I've told. Shauna told Lynn, but she's able to keep her mouth shut." He says. "Well, Zeke look. It wasn't planned and it's beyond nerve wreaking, but in a way.. What you'll get out of it will be better. It'll be worth all of this. And being there for Shauna will make both of you realize how much you love each other. So I kind of see this as a good thing." I admit and he smiles just a bit. "Thanks. And if you could.. Knock tris up so Shuana has a pregnant buddy!" He jokes. I laugh and roll my eyes.

He gets up and we head out into the near empty hallway, and make our way to first period.
