Tobias POV

I sit in the uncomfortable navy chairs in coach's office, my knuckles are split and bleeding but I could care less. My face is probably multicolored and my thigh feels numb with pain, but all I can think about is what that boy was saying and Tris's face.

God her face, it was contorted with fear, hurt, sadness, and I'm guessing anger. Zeke was standing with her, I'm hoping giving her comfort. "So Eaton. What the hell was that??" He asks walking in and sitting down in his black swivel chair. "The other guy started it." I mumble. "The classic excuse." He says. "No I'm serious. He pushed me to my breaking point and he knew it, and he kept pushing and prying." I tell him. He stares at me for a good long minute, then speaks up.

"Alright Eaton, I believe you but I cant just let you go punishment free. I have to give you detention." He says. I sigh a sigh of relief, "Thanks." I say. "Yeah well you may want to go make it right with that lady of yours. She's probably pissed." He says with a small smile. I laugh and exit his office. "So." I jump, startled.

"Tris! You startled me!" I exclaim. Her facial expression stays the same. "You wanna explain yourself?" She asks. We start walking and she pushes me into the men's restroom. "whoa whoa!" I say when she follows. "Shut up and explain." She says as she wets a paper towel. She dabs it on one of my bleeding wounds, I cringe at the stinging sensation.

"The boy.. He was saying things and he kept pushing me and pushing me till I hit my breaking point." I say. She just looks at me. "Well duh!" She says. "That was pretty obvious. Now what kind of things??" She asks applying a bandage.

"You're good at this nurse stuff." I say smiling at her. "Thanks." She whispers. She finishes and then jumps up and sits on the counter, she sits there waiting for my response. "He said things.. about me. And you." I say to her, not really meeting her eyes. She stays silent and I know she wants details. And I don't blame her, I would feel the same way if she started a fight in the middle of the hallway, which she would never do.

"He called me out, called me a coward." I say. "He somehow found out about my reasoning for moving out." I say. Tris places her right hand on my thigh and instantly warmth and love floods there. "Then he started talking about you, and us." I say. Tris then places her left hand over my left hand, I look down and see that it's in a fist. I unclench and look back up at tris.

"We can talk about this at home if you want." She says. I nod. I then bring my lips to hers and this is what I needed. But it also reminds me that I'm not alone and I am loved.
