Divergent High

Chapter 28~ Dinner with some late night swiming.

Tris POV
We finish eating and get up to leave, the sky when we first arrived was still blue but has streaks of pink in it. Now it's mostly dark out with just barely a bit if orange left over. We walk back to the beach and will and Christina go up into the house to get towels. They comes back shortly and we all grab one then lay it out. Uriah's the first one to get in the water, running and screaming all the way. Marlene comes up to me as we all gradually start getting in. "I love that boy to death.. But he is one embarrassing person!" She says smiling. I laugh and tobias grabs my hand. He runs and drags me along. Soon the damp soft sand between my toes is replaced with salty rushing ocean. We're the only ones out by the ocean which makes it nice and sort of peaceful.

Tobias wraps his arms around my waist from behind and pulls me with him so that he's sitting down half in sand half in water and me in his lap. I lean back on his chest, "You look good in red." He says after a while. "Thanks." I say blushing. We don't talk much just enjoy each other's embrace. We watch the other swim and splash around, Zeke and uriah arguing, and the sound of the waves hitting the shore. "It's nice out." I say. My sound seems loud when it hits the defining silence. "Yea." He says. I look up and him and he's smiling down at me.

"I love you." I whisper. "I love you too." He says. He presses him lips to mine and we end it when we hear screaming. "URIAH YOUR DEAD!" Chris screams. I can't help but laugh. She trudges over to us mainly to talk to me, "He freaking picked my up and slammed me down into the ocean!" She says as rage runs through her. I try to hold back my laugh, I know uriah will get it bad!

"What don't we head back. I'm tired and we've been out here for a few hours." I explain and she agrees. Soon the others follow. We make our way inside the house but Marlene and chris slam the door shut when uriah's about to step in. "Hey?!" He says completely confused. "Your sleeping out here tonight." Chris says opening the door and throwing a blanket and pillow at him. Marlene steps out and kisses his lips hard then comes back inside. We all watch as uriah lays out the blanket on the hard wood and try's to position himself. Chris shuts the shade so we can't see him anymore. We all go separate ways to our room or the bathrooms and change to go to bed.

Tobias has already changed with I start to, he turns around for me and I slip on a black tank top and some blue shorts. I pull my hair into a bun and take off my remaining make up. I snuggle under the covers pressed up against tobias and he kisses my head. "Night." I say. "Night." He replies and turns off the lights.
