Tris POV
I'm sitting in the black bleachers with chris, will, Shauna, and Marlene. All the other guys are in the locker room getting ready for the game which is starting in ten minutes. I'm dressed in our teams colors- red and black. I designed a crop top that has Tobias's football number on the back- 46. (Pic above) The girls are wearing the colors too.

I'm snapped out of my thoughts when I hear chris scream and being twirled around by Will. "What's so exciting??" I ask. "Will got exempted into the science program at Divergent University!!" she squeals!

Divergent University is close by and a great school. "Congrats!" I say. I know chris is super happy because that's also where she's going. Marlene and Zeke also got excepted. Zeke got in because of a scholarship for football.

Tobias and I planned to go there together, since we don't want to be apart and because our apartment is literally two blocks away.

****
It's down to the final minute in the game, and we'll win if Tobias can score this point. I can tell from here that he's tired but still running on adrenaline. His uniform is grass stained and he has a scratch on his face somehow.

The time starts and Uriah passes the ball to him, and I have never seen Tobias run as fast as he is right now. He tosses the ball to zeke and run to the other end, catching the ball back from zeke. And the crowd goes crazy as Tobias just won the game!

All us girls and probably the rest of the fans here are jumping up and down on the bleachers. the sky has turned dark but there are still streaks of orange from the sunset.

After I can spot Tobias in the swarm of his team, I sprint. I sprint onto the field and straight into his arms. He catches me and spins me round and round. This moment in time I will never forget, the happiest I've ever seen him, the proudest he's ever been of something he's done. He sets me down and rips his helmet off. Then brings my lips to his, He kisses me hard before releasing me.

I rest my forehead against his, his hot and sweaty forehead. His normal scent mixing with the smell of sweat and outdoors only intoxicates me more. "Baby, you did it!" I whisper, saying the first words to each other. He laughs lightly, "I did, didn't I?" He says.

I kiss his cheek and the grin he has on his face still hasn't gone away. "I am so proud of you." I say meaning every word. He looks deep into my eyes for a moment before bring his lips back to mine.

He pulls back, but not far. Our breaths mixing, the cool breeze of the night spreading over us. "Thank you." He mumbles. I smile and kiss him again.

This is what he needed, not just for me or the team, but for him. He been so damaged and his life has showed him that the world is unfair. People in his life have told him the he'll amount to nothing, that he'll never turn out alright. But this, proved them wrong, changed how Tobias views himself.

I've always believed in him, had faith in him. But this.. This is what he needed inside.
