Chapter 27~ She shines

Tobias POV
After the dance starts to clear out I take tris out back with me, there's a white gazebo that's decorated the same as the dance was. We go in and sit down, I pull her legs so that they are draped across my lap. She smiles and looks at all the lights.

She glowing tonight, her eyes sparkle like they've never shown before. Her dress hugs her curves and brings out her personality. The gold shoes and makeup bring our her beauty even though she doesn't need the help. The wind blows through her hair and I can smell the lilac lotion she uses.

"What are you staring at?" Tris asks me. I must have been look too long. "Nothing. Just.. You." I say and she blushes. "I wanted to tell you something." I say to her. She looks at me giving me all her attention. I take a deep breathe and let it out. "Thank you" I say. She gives me a confused look. "What for?" She asks as her voice fills the night air. "Thank you for showing me.. Me I guess. You've brought our things in me that I never knew. You've made me happy to be me and not ashamed of being that boy with the abusive father." I say. Her eyes are glassy with tears and she smiles.

"You didn't need me. You just needed to find yourself." She says and I kiss her. I kiss her with all my love and all my might. She kisses back filling my mouth with cherries and passion. She wraps her arms around me and I hold her face in my hand.

I pull away and take out my phone, I pull up a slow song and hit play. I turn the volume up and take tris's hand. I take her to the middle of the gazebo and I place my hands on her waist and her arms wrap back around my neck. We dance there in the darkness, only light by the decoration lights. She leans on my chest and I press my lips to the top of her head.

I love you more than you know tris." I say and I can feel her smile against my chest.
