Ch. 2: New Kid's First Stain

"Hi. I'm Lee Heejin, Public Information Officer of the student council. I'm here to help you get through your first day at our humble school. Nice to meet you, Kang Taehyun."

A surprised expression forms on Taehyun's face as he slowly drops his hands from his head and looks at her. "H-how... how do you know my name?"

A slight smirk forms on Heejin's face for a split-second before she smiles cheekily at him while leaning towards him with her hands behind her back. "I'm the PIO. Of course, I know."

Taehyun leans back from her as she does this, somewhat silently judging her, before he notices the girl turning her gaze to somewhere else, her expression suddenly turning into surprise.

"Oh? Looks like you already got your first stain," Heejin says as her eyes land on the pale yellow speck on Taehyun's shoulder.

This just makes the boy's eyes widen before he turns to what she's looking at to see the speck of pale egg already setting into his uniform. "Ah, sh... Mom's gonna kill me for this!" he says as he quickly takes off his uniform jacket and runs off without another word.

Meanwhile, a surprised expression forms on Heejin's face as she watches him go while she's still standing where you are. "Hey! Hey, where are you going?!... Can't I even get a 'thank you'?!"

"Argh! This is so annoying!" Taehyun mutters under his breath as he continues to try and wash off the egg stain on his uniform jacket.

Thankfully, the boys' bathroom seems to be a lot more peaceful than the hallways, but the boy is only becoming more and more stressed with the stubborness of the stain.

"Ugh, this is hopeless!" he says as he gives up and just drops his hands and his uniform onto the sink, an exasperated sigh escaping him as he looks at his uniform.

He then tilts his head back as he looks up at the ceiling when, just at that moment, the door to one of the stalls opens and Taehyun turns to it on instinct, suddenly meeting the eyes of a student covered in bruises.

His eyes widen, and the student looks at him with a blank expression, his hand raised to his face to wipe one of his bruises on his face. Suddenly, at the realization of the presence of another student, the bruised student suddenly charges at Taehyun and grabs his collar, almost strangling him.

Taehyun quickly grabs at the student's hand gripping him and almost holding him off the ground while he struggles to breath. "Wait... what... what did I... do..."

Suddenly, just at that moment, Heejin enters the bathroom and her eyes widen when she sees her classmate holding up the new kid by the collar.

"Hey!" she quickly shouts, and the two boys turn to her. Immediately, she notices the student's bruises, and a scoff escapes Heejin as she looks at him with her arms folded. "Hey, Park Jay. You look pretty beaten up. Are you trying to get into another fight so quickly just after you had your first one today?"

Jay looks at the girl, his eyes narrowing, before he finally lets go of Taehyun, slightly pushing the new kid who coughs as he grabs his neck. Jay then scoffs as well as he looks at the girl. "Good to see you so early in the morning, Heejin."

"Oh, please. Just leave already before I do something you'll regret. That kid's new and he's gone through a lot just this morning," she tells him as she gestures to Taehyun who's still bent down, trying to bring his breathing back to normal. "Bully someone else, will you?"

Jay smirks, then he unfolds his arms before finally walking out, only to stop just as he's beside the girl. "Wimp," he then says, his words obviously directed at Taehyun. "Had to be saved by a girl." And with that, he finally walks away.
