The next day, the whole school was in a frenzy upon them noticing a fancy car driving into their school grounds. And with the presumption that they would be getting another new schoolmate, shock would only greet them when they see a very familiar, and very unexpected, face coming out of it.

"Take care, son! Don't get into too much trouble!" From inside the car, a man in his forties shouts out to Jay, and the boy hums lowly in response without showing any kind of clear emotion on his face. The man then opens the door even wider to reveal himself and, as if to put the students of the school on the spot, he smiles and talks to them, too. "I trust that you children will be nice to my son, alright?! I wouldn't want to see anything happen to any of you, after all!"

Most of the students who heard his words immediately freeze, knowing just what they did. And the rest who didn't... Well, they're about to realize just what exactly they did wrong with the rumor that had recently been going around.

Without a single word, Jay climbs up the short flight of stairs to the entrance of the main building as his father drove away behind him. He reaches the top, but just as he does, he stops, and his brows rise as he looks ahead.

There, just a few feet infront of him, Heejin stood, a frown on her face and her arms folded as she looked on at him.

"Heejin–" Jay tries to speak to her, but the girl quickly cuts him off.

"So I guess you finally found a solution to all your problems," she says with a roll of her eyes.

Once again, guilt grows within Jay as he remembers what he accused Heejin of doing. And he tries to explain himself, but he fails yet again when the girl turns around and leaves, not saying another word.

Though... It wouldn't be so hard for him to find her again. Because apparently, Heejin forgot that they were seatmates. The only thing hard about it? He didn't quite know how to approach her.

In the end, Jay didn't go to their classroom, excusing his actions with the thought that he was "only giving Heejin some space".

Heejin sat at her table, waiting for Jay to show up for class and take his seat beside hers like usual. No one quite knows why she would still be waiting, though, and frankly, neither did she. But she was definitely waiting. And she was waiting restlessly.

"Uhm... Heejin?" Taehyun waves his hand infront of the girl's face, eventually snapping her out of her thoughts and finally making her look away from Jay's empty seat.

"Mm... Yeah?" She looks ahead and up at him, but it was still pretty evident on her face that she was still caught in a slight daze.

Taehyun frowns at this. He didn't like seeing her like this. She just didn't look okay. And he knew exactly why... And it was even pretty understandable. Heejin and Jay have been friends for quite some time already, after all.

The ring bells, and the teacher dismisses the class, allowing them to go on their lunch breaks before their afternoon classes. And yet, as majority of the students left the classroom, Heejin and Taehyun remained in their seats, both unbothered by their surroundings but rather bothered by everything else.

Heejin, especially, was bothered heavily. By the sudden resolution of the rumors, by Jay's still-constant disappearance, and everyone... just acting like nothing happened?

"Are you sure you're okay?" Taehyun asks, worry in his tone as the same emotion shows on his face.

"Yeah? I mean– Well..." Heejin finally sighs, dropping her shoulders as she turns her gaze towards the hallways. "I don't know... I mean, I guess, I should be glad that everything's gotten better now, right?"
