Kang Taehyun was, in fact, not desperate enough.
And Jinhee being a constant witness to all the trouble he and Heejin get into together, of course, she was bound to get tired of it all, too. Of course, who in their right mind would want to always be stuck in the love quarrel witness position?!
"N-Never mind."
"Oh, come... on! I already know it's about Heejin! Just tell me what it is already!"
"If you knew it was about Heejin, couldn't you tell what question it was I wanted to ask, already?"
"Do I look like a mind-reader to you?"
Taehyun doesn't reply this time, realizing that he's really looking like an idiot now. "... Don't laugh at me, but... do you think Heejin might... you know... have feelings for me, too?"
Jinhee smirks, before her smile turns into a playful one as she signs the contract in front of her before passing it over to Taehyun. "I shouldn't be the one to answer that, of course. Why don't you ask her yourself?"
"Wouldn't that expose me?" Taehyun asks back with a slight frown.
"But don't you wanna know?" Jinhee asks in return, still smiling.
Once again, Taehyun is left speechless, not knowing what to say on the matter anymore. "Ugh... this is getting complicated."
Jinhee scoffs under her breath as she watches the troubled boy. That is, until she finally decides to give him real advice. "In my opinion, though, you should definitely try that as soon as possible. After all, I doubt Heejin's willing to hold onto her possibly-existing unrequited feelings for you for long. If you keep things like that, she might even end up resenting you for ever making her feel like an idiot."
"Is that what you really think?" Taehyun asks once again as she looks towards Jinhee with doubt so obvious on his face.
And Jinhee just shrugs in return. "Like I said, it's just in my opinion. So don't go blaming me if you ever actually listened to my advice."
"Right..."
Taehyun then arranges the contract Jinhee signed before keeping them in a folder and standing up to keep it among the shelves. "Yeah, I'll probably try..."

The teddy bear keychain hangs from Sohee's finger as she looks at it, letting it hang as she makes her way down the hallway. It's been quite a while since the incident that led her to knowing Jinwoo much more closely.
Seven months, in fact.
And it was all because of the very keychain hanging from hand. Strangely, it's only been recently that Jinwoo had returned it to her, and much to her delightful surprise, it seemed to be in perfect condition, like it was brand new.
Sohee had been suspicious of it first, thinking that Jinwoo just ended up absolutely wrecking the original one and just ended up buying a new one. But the boy said it was hers. And well... would she ever think that he lied?
"Umph!" A grunt leaves Sohee when she suddenly bumps into a guy in the hallway. A frown immediately forms on her face as she faces who she had bumped into, only to freeze when she sees who it is.
A familiar face, but not a friendly one, looks down at her, raising his brow before a smug smirk forms on his lips. He seems to have immediately recognized her, too. "Well, well... Didn't think I'd ever end up seeing you again."
