"You know what, hyung? I kinda feel bad for the new teacher." Stretching his legs while seated on the benches at the back of the room, Riki spoke with doubt and concern in his voice, something rather rare from him.
But Jay barely noticed that at all as he stretched nearer to the mirror, seemingly more focused on what he's doing. "Who? Oh, the teacher you mentioned this morning? Why? What about her?"
"Well... my classmates were kinda mean to her this morning..."
"Wait, what?" This time, though, Jay seems to notice Riki's strange behavior, and he quickly turns his head to look towards the younger boy. "Where's this coming from? Why are you suddenly worried? Much more for a teacher?"
Riki frowns, but it seemed more to be a thinking frown as he looked away from the older boy. "I mean... It's just that, she seems a bit too ambitious for her own good. I don't think she'll be bending towards the school's societal rules anytime soon..."
"But she could break because of it, is that what you're saying?" Jay asks, now standing and facing Riki fully. The younger boy seems to have caught his attention already at this point. "... How mean are they to her? Is it to point that they're practically bullying her?"
Riki seems to hesitate. It's almost as if he knows where Jay's words could be coming from. "Well... Kinda?"

Well, no one really expected the new teacher to be handling more than one subject on her first day already. But that's exactly what happened. And that's exactly how it was for the three teenagers who were somewhat planning to visit the teacher after class.
Heejin's brows rose immediately when she saw Ms. Song entering the school's closed gym.
Their class was meant to play dodgeball today — basically, the only sport where all students would join together as a whole — and seeing that Ms. Song was apparently assigned to be their coach for today suddenly caused worry to rise in Taehyun, and wariness to show on Jay's face. Meanwhile, Heejin seemed confused.
"Why would they be assigning the new teacher to watch the students play dodgeball? It's not like the principal doesn't know how students are to new faces, does he?"
"Good afternoon, students!" Ms. Song, with her bright smile, greets the students sat on the bleachers as she stood at the side of the court with a ponytail and her gym uniform.
The students don't reflect the same enthusiasm, however. Though unlike the teacher's previous class, they seemed more confused than defiant. What's a new teacher doing managing sports?
"Our game today is dodgeball! And I know you all know the rules and how it's played so I'm just gonna stand back and play as your referee. That way, you can have the court all to yourselves! Fun, right?" Ms. Song's enthusiasm didn't seem to die down at all as she spoke. Even as she sensed the slight awkwardness in the room.
"What? Why is she talking like we're a bunch of kids in elementary?" one such kid in the bleachers murmurs.
His classmates seated around him hear him, and that suddenly begins a chain of reactions where the students begin murmuring amongst themselves about this new teacher before them.
"What's with that attitude? Does she actually think we'll immediately start liking her if she talks like that?"
"Quirks of being a new teacher I guess. She must think all kids are the same."
