Sohee arrived to school earlier than her usual the next day. Much earlier, actually. So much so that the classroom didn't even have any students in yet. The only other thing present being a bag at a seat rather far from Sohee's own designated seat. It looks familiar, but the girl doesn't pay much heed to it as she goes straight to her own seat.

It didn't take long before she arrives there, and a curious thing catches her attention. Lying on the desk of her seat, a plastic packet filled with bear-shaped cookies stares back at a curious-looking Sohee. Almost as if it's calling to her to take it.

"... Now what-"

She takes it, picking it up and examining it as if it were a strange specimen she just found. Well, she was definitely looking for something. But it's not like she knew already. That is, until she finds it.

At the bottom of the packet, just right next to its opening, there is a light blue sticky note holding it closed. And it had something written on it, too:

"The cookies are cute, aren't they? Hope you like them! - from your future best friend :)"

Weird. That was all Sohee thought of as she looked at the note. Now who would be so bold as to leave her such a note calling themselves her "future bestfriend" while, at the same time, hiding their true identity?

"... Hmm..." Sohee hums when a thought occurs to her, the thought of which refers to a very specific person...

And though she wouldn't normally consume anything from an uncertain source, she suddenly found herself opening the packet, taking a cookie, and soon bringing it to her mouth to take a bite out of it.

"... Lee Jinwoo," she whispers, when she realizes that the cookie is sweet. "That idiot kid."

"You know, I'm really starting to rethink arriving early to school if your face has to keep being the first thing I see when I enter this classroom."

Meanwhile, in Class 2-3, Jay had just arrived, and like mentioned, as soon as he entered the room, the first thing his eyes land on is Taehyun, in his seat and listening to songs on his phone through earphones. Despite that fact, however, he somehow still managed to hear and understand Jay's words. And he turns to the newcomer with a curious expression.

"Were you here alone for long?" Jay then asks casually as he takes his seat.

Taehyun takes a second to respond, as he turns around while removing one of his earphones to hear the other boy better. "Not really. Just a few minutes, I guess... What were you worried or something?"

Jay sneers in response, almost kicking at the back leg of Taehyun's chair but eventually deciding against it. Instead, he just lets out a scoff as he folds his arms and looks out the window beside him. "Pssh, sure. If that reassures you."

Taehyun doesn't respond. He only remains silent. Surprisingly, Jay does the same as he looks out the window, watching the sunlight as it falls onto the school grounds, brightly, yet not yet strong enough to melt the snow away.

Neither one of them could have ever known that they were thinking of the same thing... But not for long.

"Hey. How many times are you gonna keep stealing kisses from Heejin, anyway?" Jay suddenly asks, causing Taehyun's eyes to widen for a second before he chokes on air.

The boy coughs, repeatedly for a few seconds before he breathes in sharply as if he just surfaced from underwater. Then he yanks his earphones away before turning to Jay with his eyes still wide and his cheeks now red. "Hey! T-that-"
