In the end, Jinwoo ended up here: in the middle of two newly-formed lovebirds, standing in a rather busy carnival with his energy being the complete opposite of that of his companions. It might as well even beat Heejin's usual energy before she met Taehyun.

"Dang it. Why didn't I just realize that staying home would definitely be better?"

Jinwoo's face expresses nothing but bitterness as he looks at the carnival in front of him. Other than his companions, he might as well just be the only single person in this place, since everywhere he looked, there just seemed to be couples holding hands or linking arms or even worse...

"Eugh," Jinwoo mutters to himself as he quickly looks away from a couple he just saw kissing. "Oh, just WHY did I have to come along??"

Now, that is a good question!

How did Jinwoo end up here again, anyway, despite his obvious wish to not tag along in his siblings' dating adventures?

"You should join your siblings. You might not have someone, but I'm sure you'll still have fun since they're going to a carnival! That would be better than staying at home and sulking all day!"

Who else other than Mrs. Lee? But then again, can anyone really blame her when she actually perfectly described Jinwoo's behavior as it actually was? Either way, she obviously wasn't going to let her youngest son stay at home, acting all depressed all day. Even if it meant he might become the fifth wheel, who knows what he might find outside to cheer him up?

But in the meantime, maybe the idea doesn't sound so good.

"Jinwoo! We're going separate ways from this point on, just for fun. Who do you wanna tag along with?" Heeseung speaks up, looking back at Jinwoo while standing beside Jiwoo. On the other hand, Heejin stands beside Taehyun, the latter pair looking back while holding each other's hands.

Something in Jinwoo squirms at the sight. He never really pegged his sister to be the type to hold her boyfriend's hand so frequently on a date, but then again, he never really thought about how he would feel once Heejin started dating... Or maybe he's just bitter. Poor Jinwoo had already started thinking how this was a horrible idea to try and make himself feel better at this point. He was supposed to hang out with siblings and their dates today to try and get his mind off of what was basically a rejection, but how can he not think of that at all when all around him are couples on dates?

"I... think I'll just tag along when I feel like it," Jinwoo replies, only to start wailing inside when Heeseung chooses for him.

"Nonsense! Just hang out with me and Jiwoo first then! We'll make sure you're not left out. Promise!"

"Ah, hyung..." Jinwoo tries his best, really tried his best, to pass along the message to his brother that he really didn't want to go with them yet, but it seems Heeseung is just too happy to be on this date with Jiwoo to notice. And now, Jinwoo's starting to doubt, too, if Heeseung could actually keep his most recent promise seeing how he just seems too distracted. "... Fine. But I'll just go with Heejin-noona once I get bored with you two."

Jiwoo, who somehow managed to notice, only smiles quietly and tilts her head at Jinwoo behind Heeseung. Not that, Jinwoo doesn't exactly know how to make meaning of, and so he just jumps and looks away.

"On the bright side, everyone seems happy anyways," Jinwoo eventually thinks to himself in an attempt to brighten his mood. "But... that's just everyone else, anyway. Maybe I really shouldn't be here if I'm just going to ruin their date."

And so, Jinwoo ended up tagging along with Heeseung and Jiwoo first.

And that leaves Heejin and Taehyun, suddenly feeling awkward as they stare at the rides and stalls making up the amusement park. Between them, their hands shift, fingers subtly tightening their hold on each other in their uncertainty of what to do next. But then, Taehyun takes the lead.
