Ch. 10: Tsundere and a Teddy Bear

The next day came by eventually. And despite how early Jinwoo (and his siblings) had come to the school, he was rather surprised to find another bag already in the classroom he was heading to, indicating that someone had already arrived before him.

"That's weird," he mumbles to himself as he enters the classroom, "I'm usually the first person to arrive in my class..."

After setting his bag down in his seat, eventually, the boy soon walks over to the occupied seat out of curiosity. His eyes perk up as he reaches it, and he notices the cute teddy bear keychain hanging from the one of the bag's zippers. Only, it would have been, if it hadn't broken off from it's key ring.

Without thinking much, Jinwoo picks the teddy bear up, and looks at it while the tiny thing rests in his palm.

"Cute~"

"Hey, don't touch that!" Suddenly, out of nowhere, a female student appears behind Jinwoo and snatches the teddy bear from his hands. The boy's eyes widen, and he turns to her only to see probably his class's most stuck-up student, Min Sohee.

Sohee frowns at him as she holds the teddy bear to her chest, and when Jinwoo notices her actions, he becomes confused, and he looks at her with questioning eyes.

"U-uhm... Is that teddy bear keychain... yours?"

Suddenly, as if remembering something out of the blue, Sohee's eyes widen. "N-no! This isn't mine! What are you even talking about?!" She speaks with a flustered tone, so visible that even Jinwoo notices, and that alone makes the boy bewildered.

Min Sohee. Flustered. What?!!

Nevertheless, Jinwoo still looked much calmer than the girl does now, that he only looks at her with a straight face. Though, technically speaking, he was more curious than bewildered. "Why, though?"

Sohee's eyes perk up at his question. "W-what?"

"Why would you try to hide that it's yours when it obviously is? I mean, there's nothing wrong with having a teddy bear keychain..."

Sohee pauses, and her expression softens... But not even ten seconds later and she suddenly changes her mind and frowns at the boy once again. "Hey, I already told you, it isn't mine!"

"Then whose is it, then?" Jinwoo asks, his expression still blank yet pure-looking.

Sohee seems flustered once again, but the next words that come out of her mouth... don't really answer the boy's question... "Oh, shut up!"

"So, new kid, mind telling me what the deal was about you working in that restaurant?"

Taehyun immediately panics when Heejin asks him that question in the school's busy hallway, and in quick response he quickly covers her mouth. Only to suddenly get a lot of weird and suspicious looks for his actions.

"Uh... H-Honey, don't say that. You're making me feel flustered, it's gonna make me blush too hard," Taehyun acts out, in a way that it could be heard for everyone. And after doing so, it seems to convince their schoolmates enough so they would go on their own ways. He breathes a sigh of relief, then he looks at Heejin (her mouth still covered), to see her raising her brow at him. He then frowns and grabs her hand before pulling her out of the place.

They reach a storage room, eventually, and Taehyun brings the both of them in there before locking the door. Upon turning to Heejin, however, he jumps back and briefly shouts in surprise upon seeing her eyeing him suspiciously.
