Ch. 8: Meeting Chaos Herself

Anyone could probably honestly see Jay's eyes twitching right now as he eyes Taehyun holding Heejin in his arms. With the temperature of his blood boiling right now, anyone would have probably seen his eyes twitching so much from held-back anger, even from afar.

But neither Taehyun nor Heejin saw any of that. Nope. Instead, they were too distracted by whatever situation the both of them had found themselves in as of this moment.

With her back to Taehyun's chest, Heejin suddenly found herself frozen, baffled, and undoubtedly flustered as she barely stood there with the boy's arms supporting her. Especially, after what happened today? Surely, she was definitely going to feel a bit uncomfortable if ever she found herself in another similar situation with Taehyun. And she did. As of this moment.

"Woah, there!" Heejin shouts as she quickly pushes herself away from Taehyun and moves away from both him and Jay, looking at them both with wide, cautious eyes. "T-that! Did not happen! None of that did, you hear me?! So y'all better keep your mouths shut or else I'll make both of you regret it." Her voice slows down to a deep, threatening one, which eventually causes both boys to nod and agree, Jay secretly rolling his eyes in response and Taehyun feeling flustered himself.

And then another person joins in on the awkward train.

"Ahem." Heeseung clears his throat, and upon hearing him do that, the three young teens turn to him, the former eyeing them with one brow up. "So, would you like to take a seat?"

It didn't take long before all of them eventually settled. And after a few minutes, Heejin didn't even waste a second to explain the whole situation to her older brother.

"It wasn't in the plan."

Her words immediately cause Taehyun and Jay, both seated at either of her sides, to turn to her as if she said something wrong. Though, she did, in a way...

"What do you mean it wasn't according to plan? Didn't you say to make it as convincing as possible?" Taehyun asks with his brows furrowed.

And just as quickly as he had finished, Heejin was quick to respond to that. "Oh, so that's your excuse?!"

Meanwhile, Jay seems way too baffled by what Heejin just said. "Wait, so that's all you're going to say after everything that happened today? Are you really that unaffected?!"

And to that, Heejin turns to him withan accusing look. "What are you even doing here?! How are you even involved in this in the first place?!"

"Well, I don't know why I was called here," Jay retorts, his eyes just as wide as Heejin's.

And then Heeseung interrupts them once again. "Hey! Does it look like I called you guys here to see you fight?" The trio immediately turn quiet, and after turning to Heeseung obediently, the latter finally continues after letting out a deep breath. "Just so you know, I called Jay here because he's the only other person who knows about your fake relationship with Taehyun," he starts, looking at Heejin with slightly scolding eyes. Then he turns those eyes to Taehyun. "As for you! Today, I was able to see that you actually have some nerves to kiss someone without their consent. Would you still have done that if you knew I was at the scene?"

Taehyun doesn't respond. Instead, Jay does, and with a sarcastic tone in his voice.

"Well, he did it infront of a lot of people without really knowing who could have been in that crowd. How does that say otherwise?"
