INT. MOON CAFÉ — LUNCH TIME (12:00 PM)

The Moon Cafe is bustling with life. Teens, adults, and the elderly enjoy various signature drinks. Although, a small, hidden local café, one or two faces are recognized as foreigners. The delicacy of this café is handmade pastries and snowy moon cakes.

Sitting at a table for two, KOYAMA anxiously stares at the empty seat in front of her. The meeting time was set for 12:15, so she doesn't blame the other party for not being at the Café yet.

INT. SAKUSA'S CAR — LUNCH TIME (12:00 PM)

SAKUSA's wrist watch glimmers under the sunlight, turning his wrist slightly, he momentarily glances at it. The male sighs with relief. On the touch screen car stereo, IIZUNA's name is on display.

IIZUNA
You sound distressed,
even though you hadn't
agreed to this at first.

SAKUSA
Don't make it sound
like I have ulterior
motives. I reasoned with
what you said. You're right,
I can't keep holding out for perfection.

SAKUSA
Yet, that doesn't mean
I'll accept this without
knowing her, so I agreed to
meet her,just to be safe.

IIZUNA
Ah, always so cautious.
It can't be helped.
Just, don't be brutal
with her Sakusa.
She's going through a
rough patch right now.

SAKUSA
That can't be helped
either. I won't walk
on eggshells just to
appease someone I'm not
close with.

IIZUNA
You don't need to be
close to someone to be
considerate of their
feelings, Sakusa.

SAKUSA
I can't help it.
Also, not really
that I care too much
either.

IIZUNA
I've sent dear
Tsuru-San to the
battlefield. Man,
I wonder if she'll
come back alive.

SAKUSA
I've got to hang up.

IIZUNA
Alright,
Take care.

SAKUSA
(Glances at the
screen with a bit
of guilt).
Alright,
I'll keep you
updated.

IIZUNA
Sure! Talk to
you later!

SAKUSA
Talk to you later.

EXT. MOON CAFÉ PARKING LOT - LUNCH TIME (12:09 PM)

SAKUSA's leather slip on shoes glimmer in the sunlight as he steps out of his car. The faint sound of his footsteps and cars passing by surround him.

INT. MOON CAFÉ — LUNCH TIME (12:13 PM)

SAKUSA's eyes roam the area, until they land on a familiar woman.

KOYAMA senses an intense gaze on her, and she looks in SAKUSA's direction, only to find him already staring at her. Her eyes widen as she realizes who he is. To her surprise, his hair looked even more fluffier than it did in the picture IIZUNA had shown her.

SAKUSA unconsciously fixes his collar, and the sleeves of his white dress shirt. He walks in KOYAMA's direction, and takes a seat.

SAKUSA
Koyama-San?

KOYAMA
Yep.
Koyama Tsuru,
it's nice to meet
you, Sakusa-San.

SAKUSA
Have you ordered
anything yet?

KOYAMA
No, I have not.
I, uh, thought
it would be rude to
eat without you.
(Glances at the menu
sitting in the middle
of the table).

SAKUSA and KOYAMA reach for the menu at the same time. SAKUSA's eyes widen, and he tries to hold back a grimace, but he fails miserably. KOYAMA takes notice of his expression, and immediately becomes flustered.

KOYAMA
(Bashful)
Sorry about that!

SAKUSA
(Sighs).
It's okay.

SAKUSA
(Picks up the menu).
Mistakes happen,
don't they?

KOYAMA
Right.
(Purses lips).
